To wear this dress to a wedding??

I've got a wedding next month, I've bought this dress but my sil says it's so much and I'll look a bit twatty?

If you saw me wearing this at a wedding what you think it was terrible? Or is it fine to wear for a wedding?

I agree with sil sorry

The navy one looked the nicest out of the ones you've posted. You could add colour with your bag and shoes? Navy looks amazing against pale skin imo.

First one made me think of Jane McDonald straight away and I see I wasn't the only one. So not only cruise ship singer but also far too mature for you at 20. (Apologies Jane pet, you're fab but y'know...)

There's a Style & Beauty board that would go mad for hunting down the right dress. Lots of ideas on here but in case you wanted fresh eyes on the case.

ASOS have an occasion dresses category (select it in the sidebar on the left) Have you had a look there?

Don't over think it though. Promise you, on the day you'll wonder what you were worried about. Wear whatever makes you feel good about yourself.

Just not floor length sequins. Grin

I'm meant to be going to bed but did it what about if I wore something like the lemon one but can get it in pink will link it with a cream cardigan and a fascination to make it look a little less not weddingy and then took the cardi and fascinating off for the after bit?

monsoon have a sale on at the moment and some gorgeous dresses for under £50

AfterSchoolWorry · 29/07/2018 00:12

Why are you having French nails OP? They're very dated!

garethsouthgatesmrs · 29/07/2018 00:13

The pink one you posted is more "weddingy" but this navy one is beautiful. Better than the first.

dressesdressesdresses · 29/07/2018 00:13

Just what I suit got small hands haha

adoggymama · 29/07/2018 00:13

It's a bit dressy/tacky looking, it's a wedding- not a prom. Blush

GreenTulips · 29/07/2018 00:14

I like the pale pink and navy ones you last posted.

Add a simple bun at the nape of your neck and you'll look very elegant, not too try hard.

dressesdressesdresses · 29/07/2018 00:15

I'm liking them two too will see what dh says

just stole this from enids post

www.asos.com/asos/asos-lace-insert-panelled-midi-dress/prd/9095636?clr=navy&SearchQuery=&cid=15495&gridcolumn=3&gridrow=3&gridsize=4&pge=1&pgesize=72&totalstyles=1338

its gorgeous and very much a wedding guest dress but has the navy and the lace you seem to like.

If you prefer fitted though go for fitted.

I am so overinvested in this now!!

dressesdressesdresses · 29/07/2018 00:17

He's baffled because he thinks it looks the same as the first one hahha

i would buy the two you like and get a friend to help you, they can be returned

BlueEyedBengal · 29/07/2018 00:21

I like the pale blue floral one you posted and the pink one you posted later on from debenhams. Both look lovely especially since you are so young. I'm sure you will look wonderful, just have a great time.

dressesdressesdresses · 29/07/2018 00:22

They dont even have my size :( hopefully they might in a few weeks

OP posts:
dressesdressesdresses · 29/07/2018 00:23

I do like the pale blue one but thoughts it's just not good enough for a wedding

TestingTestingWonTooFree · 29/07/2018 00:23

I like the grey (but looks lilac) one from ASOS the best.

Is it a church wedding? If so I’d say you need a cardigan with all the off the shoulder dresses

EnidButton · 29/07/2018 00:24

I know you want him to think you look nice but you're wearing it and unless he's into women's dresses he won't have that much of a clue.

dressesdressesdresses · 29/07/2018 00:29

Haha ino he just wants me to feel nice and when I tried the first one on I felt beautiful never wore something like that before so think he just wants me to feel beautiful but I honestly don't want to wear it going to get milk to message a few people tomorrow ad ask what they are wearing see what they say
