To feel terrified after reading the prepping for Brexit threads?

999 replies

LittleNapRefuser · 28/07/2018 20:26

I have genuinely cried real tears of fear after reading the threads on prepping for Brexit today. I have a toddler and right now I am terrified of what is to come and their future after all this.

I don't really have anyone to talk to about this in 'real life' because most people I know aren't reading the news or don't seem to care.

Should I be terrified? Should I be scared for my baby's future? Can anyone reassure me or offer me an alternative perspective on all this. I don't want to to put my head in the sand but I feel really afraid.

Shit Linda - Mensa has got nothing on you. Shame you can't take on board facts.

WhoAteAllthePercyPigs · 28/07/2018 22:36

@lindalee Theresa? Is that you??

lindalee3 · 28/07/2018 22:36

I know I am bored here though, so I am popping off to other threads.

I cannot argue with such hysterical snowflakes. I mean I wouldn't wanna make you cry.

So toodles.

Lindalee - don't know if you saw the other thread, but wheeedling and pleading with posters to put their points across. THIS thread proves exactly why people don't, as the true colours come straight out and the masks start to slip. Then the fanatical ones wonder why they're only left in their own echo chambers or why there is a separate board for all this. So they can doom to their hearts content. Always goes the same way.

WhoAteAllthePercyPigs · 28/07/2018 22:37

@lindalee off you pop 'hunnie'.

lindalee3 · 28/07/2018 22:37

I thought you were leaving percy. Just gotta keep on chatting shit yeah?

Can't stop yourself can ya?

Toodles hunnie! I am fucked off with you now. You're boring.

Aintnothingbutaheartache · 28/07/2018 22:38

WhoAteAllthePercyPigs · 28/07/2018 22:38

Oh and I've filled my Brexit bingo card - full house with 'hysterical snowflakes' so ta for that Grin

sar501 · 28/07/2018 22:38

I honestly don’t think the Government should go through with it if there isn’t a deal. It would be extremely irresponsible. If no deal is reached by next March then we need another referendum or we need to extend the period of negotiation - if at all that is possible.

StealthPolarBear · 28/07/2018 22:38

"lindalee3

We got on perfectly well before we joined the controlling boy's club the EU, and we will get on perfectly fine when we leave, and we will be £350 million a week better off. Leaving cannot come soon enough."
Sarcasm or delusion?

AllIHaveToDo · 28/07/2018 22:38

@rainbowsandsmiles nah I'm just pissing myself at the sheer delusion of some of the folk on here. That blood moon clearly got a chokehold on some people

I don't get why people are panicking or prepping. If there is to be a no deal brexit life will still carry on. Yes there will be price rises but ffs are people really talking about stock piling toilet rolls?

We are one of the Eu's biggest customer. They will still trade with us. Yes more paperwork and border controls will be put in place but the way some people are talking you'd think we were going to be left to fend for ourselves. Trade from China and other non EU will carry on.

I agree it will be messy but it is not life or death proportions. As for people stock piling medicines, that is really not a good idea and places a further drain on our NHS.

StealthPolarBear · 28/07/2018 22:40

Yes we're stock piling toilet roll. There's a lot of shit on this thread, as a start. Once we leave we'll all be in some deep shit. The more toilet roll the better.

JaneJeffer · 28/07/2018 22:41

How would someone who has a toddler remember the 50's?Hmm

AllIHaveToDo · 28/07/2018 22:41

Awww booo Linda's fucked off! S/he should put that IQ to good use and learn to debate better rather than throwing the toys out the pram when presented with facts.

keyboardkate · 28/07/2018 22:41

Hysteria is often the result of fear of the unknown.

Who is giving us any positive vibes, or hope, or helping with the anxieties that are obviously out there?

Fear of the unknown is a very real thing to many people. But who is making that any better?

eightfacesofthemoon · 28/07/2018 22:42

@keyboardkate
Me! It’s all going to be ok
Really it is

StealthPolarBear · 28/07/2018 22:43

That lovely Boris Johnson does a lovely positive thinking workshop

AllIHaveToDo · 28/07/2018 22:43

No one Keyboard, the media is saying it's going to be shit, the government is saying it going to be shit, experts say it will be shit and that's part of the problem

eightfacesofthemoon · 28/07/2018 22:44

@StealthPolarBear
Boris Johnson’s workshop involves getting you up the duff
Seems it’s the only one thing he’s good at!

rainbowsandsmiles · 28/07/2018 22:44

Saying there's lots of shit on here than adding more shit to the shit by stating as fact that if we leave we'll be in more shit when NOBODY KNOWS - there's some kind of definite irony about that. Grin
