To feel terrified after reading the prepping for Brexit threads?

LittleNapRefuser · 28/07/2018 20:26

I have genuinely cried real tears of fear after reading the threads on prepping for Brexit today. I have a toddler and right now I am terrified of what is to come and their future after all this.

I don't really have anyone to talk to about this in 'real life' because most people I know aren't reading the news or don't seem to care.

Should I be terrified? Should I be scared for my baby's future? Can anyone reassure me or offer me an alternative perspective on all this. I don't want to to put my head in the sand but I feel really afraid.

Keyboardkate - you've been told why. In the absence of it sinking in, I'll have to come to the conclusion that you're in fact a bot. In fact anyone who disagrees with me must in fact be a bot. (At least I would think that if I was going by that mindset, I'm not that paranoid though.)

Aintnothingbutaheartache · 29/07/2018 01:44

Oh dear me, rainbows
I really haven’t attacked anyone. If you could stop and take a breath occasionally you would see that you are the only one here getting upset about all this.
You have consistently failed to give a valid opinion. Instead, you just rant on about being attacked and abused while at the same time being completely oblivious to the real issues.
I make no secret of the fact that I think Brexit is a big mistake. I believe outers we’re misinformed and many are regretting it.
It’s an unstable time for us all.

InigoMontoyaWillcox · 29/07/2018 01:46

There never is any rational discussion when it comes to Brexit. No-one knows why the fuck we are leaving!

I'm not wanting it to stop because I don't want it. I'm wanting it to stop so that my son does not die! He is not a "hand" to be played. He is my child!

Yes, I am emotional about it. Of course I fucking am!

I want people to know that this is what Brexit means!

Ihatemycar · 29/07/2018 01:46

@InigoMontoyaWillcox
I'm a leave voter and I can't believe you think the UK insulin depends on the magnanimous EU.
How do diabetics manage I say Canada it Rusia?
This country will be a million times better without the EU. It wasn't a mistake and we aren't dumb for wanting out of the EU.

ujnepkoztarsasag · 29/07/2018 01:48

Ihatemycar - just curious, but are you a native English speaker?

InigoMontoyaWillcox · 29/07/2018 01:52

And no-one can answer me, not because they're scared of insults, but because there is no rational answer that justifies this.

There is no advantage to Brexit, no sunlit uplands or unicorns that justify people in the UK dying from a lack of insulin or other medication. None.

Aintnothingbutaheartache · 29/07/2018 01:52

What was the point of that?

rainbowsandsmiles · 29/07/2018 01:52

Ain'tnothing - somebody they voted leave and you immediately said you should be ashamed.
No, you're right, you're all fluffy and light to people who say differently to you. Confused

InigoMontoyaWillcox · 29/07/2018 01:53

@Ihatemycar

You clearly haven't RTFT as this was addressed pages back.

Aintnothingbutaheartache · 29/07/2018 01:53

Sorry that was for ujne

Ihatemycar · 29/07/2018 01:54

@rainbowsandsmiles how patronising of you to say leave was wrong and we most abandon the will of 17.4 million people.
To me stay it's madness and completely wrong to say we most ignore the vote just because I don't agree with it.
The UK it's a strong union soon to be free of the corrupt EU.
Free to do whatever we want away from the shackles of the Stalinist block we call the EU.

rainbowsandsmiles · 29/07/2018 01:55

Inigo -nobody in the UK is definitely going to die because of a lack of insulin so stop trying to present it as if it's a fact. That's what people mean by scare mongering.

Aintnothingbutaheartache · 29/07/2018 01:56

rainbows rainbows rainbows sigh............
I didn’t say “you should be ashamed “ in response to someone voting out, it was a little more complex than that.
I understand though that you like to grab a theory and hang on in there

InigoMontoyaWillcox · 29/07/2018 01:57

If it's a fuck up then believe me, people will die. People die from a lack of insulin in hours.

Ihatemycar - sorry, I think you've got me mixed up with someone else? I certainly didn't say leave was wrong, I said that's how people voted and we should be getting on with it, I agree with you, it is patronising and disregarding of the people if we say "let's ignore it and stay anyway!" It doesn't work like that. People voted to Leave. So we go with it, not name call or say the vote was wrong.

ujnepkoztarsasag · 29/07/2018 02:00

I'm a [Russian bot] and I can't believe you [would take anything I say at face value].
How do diabetics manage I say Canada it Rusia?
This country will be a million times better [doing what it's told by Russia]. It wasn't a mistake and we aren't dumb for [manipulating British morons for our own advantage].

rainbowsandsmiles · 29/07/2018 02:01

Ain'tnothing - yes, you did. You obviously think it was a perfectly normal reaction and not at all an insult though. Why should they be ashamed? They have every right to vote without telling them they should be ashamed as you don't agree with their vote.

Aintnothingbutaheartache · 29/07/2018 02:04

Can anyone see that calling inigo a moron is unbelievably shit?
She is rightly concerned about her sons health and worried about what Brexit will mean regarding his medication.
Sorry but that’s just pure CF

rainbowsandsmiles · 29/07/2018 02:05

IF - IF it's a fuck up. You said if yourself. You have no IDEA what's going to happen next, so as I said, don't present stuff as fact when it's nothing of the sort.
IF it's a fuck up, IF we run out, there's an awful lot of ifs there and scare mongering.

ujnepkoztarsasag · 29/07/2018 02:06

I didn't mean her.

InigoMontoyaWillcox · 29/07/2018 02:07

Of course they do! We're not saying ignore the vote (notwithstanding the fact of outside interference, dodgy money and breaking the law! Hmm ), but when the execution of enacting said vote is such a monumental fuck up, to the fact that in peace time the govt is seriously considering stockpiling food, mobilising the army and that there might not be enough life saving medicine and medical supplies, and that there will be unavoidable civilian casualties, that is the time for the govt to say "you know what? We can't do this safely!" and rethink!

Not blindly follow them over the cliff going "respect the vote!!"

FFS!

rainbowsandsmiles · 29/07/2018 02:07

Ain'tnothing - what was the point of what?

Aintnothingbutaheartache · 29/07/2018 02:08

Bloody hell rainbows you are relentless
Yes, we live in a democracy which means that everyone has the right to vote how they choose.
It also means I have the right to express an opinion that they chose wrong and were all going to suffer the consequences

Ihatemycar · 29/07/2018 02:09

@rainbowsandsmiles I'm sorry if I read it wrong.
