To think it's not hot at all

I'm here in a blanket in the south west in a 3 story Edwardian and it's cloudy.

I've felt other heatwaves but this one doesn't even register tbh

It’s hot here 33 degrees
But I love it

It hasn’t lived up to the 36 forecast though
Would like to have had that

JacquesHammer · 26/07/2018 19:06

We actually have rain. Proper rain Grin

LizJones · 26/07/2018 19:10

registering 33 in the garden and BBC weather app saying it feels like 36. No matter what it is ..... it's very hot today

CarrotandSwede · 26/07/2018 19:19

31 here no breeze, it’s sweaty hot.

Jkoakham · 26/07/2018 19:44

I'm back with a blanket over my feet. It's still very nice but sun has all gone and cool breeze going through the house. 22

Boiling here ! (Essex)

Mof3K · 26/07/2018 19:55

OP you're a goady fucker and clearly talking shit Hmm

CurlyhairedAssassin · 26/07/2018 19:57

Op, you clearly have undiagnosed thyroid issues or possibly live in a haunted house. Grin

What is your house like in winter,?? I’m assuming it’s freezing cold.

LoveInTokyo · 26/07/2018 20:00

36 degrees here and no sign of rain.

Shock

Well, that’s it. OP has spoken. It must be 22 degrees for everyone.

Jkoakham · 26/07/2018 20:07

Gosh I'm not dictating that everyone isjnt hot!

Quite the opposite just saying for many people it's very pleasant, and not this "furnace Friday" that the mail keeps going on about

OP posts:
sulflower · 26/07/2018 20:11

22?? That's taps aff weather in Scotland.

JassyRadlett · 26/07/2018 20:17

Hurrah for you! I always quite enjoy it, despite the temperature in the room I’m currently in being 9 degrees above yours.

That wasn’t quite what you were saying about people in the south east, was it though? Being quite honest about it. Wink

zukiecat · 26/07/2018 20:20

That's what I was thinking sulflower

Taps aff!

DD and me are planning a trip to Edinburgh next Friday and I think the forecast is around 22

That's Scorchio!

Mof3K · 26/07/2018 20:21

Gosh I'm not dictating that everyone isjnt hot!
Erm yea, yes you were!!!!
Your whole thread is about how it isn't hot at all and it's all a bit of a media drama.
Countless people have been on and said its 32 plus ( its still 32 here at 8 30pm) yet YOU apparently live in some-pretend- bubble where it's 22 and you need a blanket!Hmm

Bore off

ChiaraRimini · 26/07/2018 20:28

Wind makes a huge difference though so if there is a breeze where op is then it may feel cooler than the thermometer says.
Saying that I think I am acclimatising to it as the heat has bothered me less this week than in the past few weeks.

9amTrain · 26/07/2018 20:28

Well most people are bloody boiling, you're the first I've seen to say otherwise.

Danglingmod · 26/07/2018 20:28

What utterly ridiculous person needs a blanket at 22° of heat?

BTW, OP, it's definitely not just the SE. The whole of the east of the country including up to Yorkshire has had it really, really hot.

E Midlands - It's 31° outside here, at 8.30pm. It's 30° in my living room and bedroom. Recommended bedroom temperature is 16-18.

It's rained for about 10 minutes total in seven weeks. The grass is all dead, we've had fires all over the place and farm animals are starving.

But of course the media are making it up Hmm.

JassyRadlett · 26/07/2018 20:30

To be fair, I’ve just seen that Exeter is only 23 degrees. Must be gutting to be missing out.

PuppyMonkey · 26/07/2018 20:33

Ha ha, not dictating that everyone isn’t hot - but starts a thread which literally asks if she’s being unreasonable to say “it isn’t that hot?” Grin

Unihorn · 26/07/2018 20:33

It's actually been cooler in South Wales this week than it has been since the third week of June. But as others have said, the South East is hot this week therefore everywhere is hot. It was hotter in Wales and the Midlands at the end of June but the news didn't care too much then.

sulflower · 26/07/2018 20:36

@zukiecat 12 degrees up in our neck of the wood is light jumper weather, 15 and above it's summer. Big coat when it gets down to about 5 with a chilly breeze.

LoniceraJaponica · 26/07/2018 20:42

29 degrees here in Palma Grin

hazeyjane · 26/07/2018 20:44

Oh don’t be such a dingus, op. It’s so hot I’m growing horns and a fucking devils tail.

JacquesHammer · 26/07/2018 20:50

I’ve just watched a rather lengthy article on the news about how A&E departments are struggling due to a large increase in weather related admissions.

Media frenzy. Bastards.
