AIBU?

to think the worst part of the heatwave is the constantly sweaty (ahem) vulva?

Yes, I have NC'd for this. Blush

Anyone else getting irritated by constant irritation due to the heat? The sweat causes 'paper cuts' and it stings when I have a bath etc.

Roll on autumn!!!

I'm not working thankfully this summer so do as little as poss but chub rubies bad. 'Comfort shorts' under dresses & shorts are good & lanacane powder is x6 more absorbent than talc apparently.

I'm a big old fatty so heat & lots of moving about & businesses cause much sweat & hot & botheredness!

I've found a couple of old threads on here that indicate the 'paper cuts'/ 'tears' might be related to vulval eczema. In which case it's probably no surprise that sweat is irritating it.

I have tried the shower - talc - antiperspirant thing but it doesn't work. I find it hard to cool down and become properly dry after a shower in this heat. It's too humid.

The irony is that in general, I am not a sweaty person! Not fat, not thin.

I'm sweating everywhere, even places I didn't think I sweated from! The worst is my face/hair though, I leave the house looking reasonably put together, 15 minute walk to work, get there looking like I just stepped out of the shower, which is just horrible anyway, but then it takes me ages to cool down again and it's time to come home, same process in reverse.

Roll on Autumn, or at least a decent storm to get rid of the humidity.

Never had this!
I’m only a D cup too so can get away without wearing a bra. Haven’t worn one for about 8 weeks now! Too hot for the boob sweat.

Team underboob sweat here. I never used to suffer from it but after two years of breastfeeding my boob is so saggy I can tuck my t-shirt under it to soak up the sweat.

That's a shame RiverTam

I couldn't justify the sloggi price tag so went cheap - perhaps I lucked out I'm 5 ft 5 and cheap ones I linked to just cover the bit that rubs with me but are way above my knee. I was worried they were too short but they are perfect and can be worn with no pants.

I'm suffering too! 6 months pregnant and wasn't thin to start with. I'm wearing shorts made from old leggings under my dresses. It's worse at night. Yesterday I talc'd my under boob area and the talc turned into paste. I feel so beautiful Grin

Oh and someone advised me to stick panty liners in my bra and this absorbs the sweat!

I love you.

When I had ‘papercuts’ it was actually thrush without the discharge or itching.

Yeah, I’m only 5’2 and the long leg ones are really pretty long, nearly down to my knees which 8 really don’t need - it’s just the very tops of my thighs that rub together.

Plus it always seems completely counterintuitive to deal with something caused by getting too hot with skin tight clothing!

I see slim young things floating about in little frocks, no bra, no chub rub and seethe with envy. Seethe, I tell you.

I'm 32 weeks pregnant and the sweaty groin is my most surprising and unexpected symptom!

My knickers are soaked with sweat every day, it's grim 😩

I’m size 10 with a sweaty crotch Grin and I’m virtually hairless so I’m no sure any thin/ fat or hairy/ waxed theories are useful...

They are way looser than the leggins I was using before - so I'm happy.

I'm not enjoying the heat at all though - it's bad for all of us as we all burn easily, really plae skin, and many of us react to sun light with ichy rashes - so I'm covered up as much as possible.

Another sweaty groin here.
I'm surprised I'm not growing mould where my legs join my body, it's constantly damp and sticky there.

Re autumn in the UK, it is mostly grey and miserable so not looking forward to it. I like those crisp, sunny autumn days but we get so few of them here. So I will take the sweaty bits for the sunshine :)

I get the paper cuts and it turned out to be lichen sclerosis. It always gets worse in the heat when I'm all sweaty.

Luckily I've responded well to the cream so as long as I'm vigilant about applying it at the first itch it's ok.

Talcum powder....? I once bought some cooling talc, for tropical climates, from Amazon, for chafing bits. My MiL said it worked well.

I love the weather at the moment (sorry!) but I'm sweating like a biatch from every pore... Properly attractive, me!! I have hyperhydrosis, so I'm one big puddle of loveliness.... Even my usual friend 'Mitchum' is freaking useless.

Loving the idea of panty pads in the bra, bloody marvellous!!!!
