Yes, I have NC'd for this. Blush

Anyone else getting irritated by constant irritation due to the heat? The sweat causes 'paper cuts' and it stings when I have a bath etc.

Roll on autumn!!!

I live in another EU country. This is not at all normal and is the hottest/longest summer in about 140 years of records. It’s regularly hotter outside than in, despite temperatures ‘only’ reaching 29-32 outside, so opening windows is a big no unless it’s the early morning or late evening. I am constantly either actively sweating or still horribly sticky from sweating. I could really do with some more light/flowy clothing as everything gets crumpled after one wear out.

"It’s regularly hotter outside than in"

Not in most of the UK it's not.
In most places it's still cooler to open the window than have it closed.
Temperatures haven't even been close to 30 where I live.

This is such a weird thing to be arguing about GrinGrin

I believe countries familiar with this kind of weather follow particular routines with blinds and windows. So the blinds on the sunny side of the house are closed, and the windows on the other three sides are opened. That creates a draft. As the sun moves, you adjust the blinds and windows accordingly. I believe a tray of water in front of the open window cools the breeze as it moves through as well. A fan positioned by a window increases the air exchange too.

In Singapore, older houses had a gap at the top of each wall to allow drafts through. They were naturally cooled as opposed to houses with air con.

There's no point arguing about what other people are experiencing. We all feel things differently and are allowed to complain about our discomfort if we want to. To argue otherwise is like suggesting that red haired freckled people don't need sunscreen if olive skinned people don't.

Quite! DP feels the heat much more than I do and is never cold, but I'm a chilly mortal. It's just one of the many ways in which we're incompatible. Grin

Back on topic, yesterday I had a very sore, red rash in my groin. Only on one side, mind. It was bloody uncomfortable as it was right where my knicker leg sits, so I spent the day commando wearing nothing but a large, baggy t-shirt (I put on some shorts when I went to hang some washing out, as there was a bit of a breeze and I didn't want to shock my nice NDN).

I had a cool shower twice during the day and again before bed, dried carefully and put some baby powder on the affected area. Today the rash has disappeared, although the area is still quite sore.

Here's my dilemma: I have to go out at some point (birthday presents to buy). If I leave my knickers off but wear baggy linen trousers, is there a risk that wet patches might appear on them and make it look like I've pissed myself? None of my dresses or skirts are long enough for me to go out bare-arsed without risk of exposing myself, and bloody DP doesn't have any boxers (he's a briefs man, likes all his tackle tucked up lol).

Would I be better off to wear knickers that rub the sore bit for a couple of hours, then take them off again when I get home?

I've ordered some of those anti-chafe knickers, but no way will they arrive today.

I'm generally a very sweaty person, I find finishing off the shower with a cold blast helps, cotton pants, and being properly dry before getting into pants helps, I always use a cold hairdryer to dry myself and only dress when I'm totally dry.

Clarins sell this oil called anti eau in French, I think it’s contour in English.

It really helps with water retention and keeping dry. You massage after a shower on damp skin, the follow with a cold blast of water.

Magic stuff.

Lakielady, men's briefs are still better than women's because the elastic tends to be covered more smoothly. I can't do the Lacey elastic trim most pants come with, which is partly why I wear washable pads as they cover it. Men's briefs are often completely pocketed elastic.

You're right pickleme, men's underwear IS designed far more with comfort in mind.

If only men had tits. We could probably get properly comfy bras then.

I've just needed to move fast- well faster than a sloth like crawl- and am now beaded with sweat all over my face. Lovely. You know those very graceful African ladies who do everything at a stately pace? I'm going to try and emulate them.

My face used to be sweating like mad until I started using odaban, it’s brilliant takes a few days to kick in, dab it over my face at night completely stopped my face dripping everyday, can be used on other parts of body too good for under bust

I don't get any of this either.
I did live in the tropics for a while. I usually wore a loose light cotton skirt with no knickers.Maximum ventilation!

I'm envisaging maximum mosquito minge😭 did you never get bitten?! Or did you wear knicks just for the evenings?

No more questions lest it sound like I'm perving, but having been bitten in the arse by a mosquito there's no way Id consider commando (& Im from the Caribbean)

You are one brave lady

Another sweaty vulva hereGrin. It is weird as I don't sweat much elsewhere. Bought some cheap cotton pants. Very thin material and am carrying couple of spare on my bag.
I am also getting prickly heat spots on my forehead I believe. Confused . Praying for a cold spell

The sweaty sore under boobs is cured by putting nappy rash cream on. Any brand will do the trick.

Oh is that was this is? I wondered why I was erm, damp down there. I thought I was leaking wee without realising and panicking! I'm slim as well so never really have this problem, I do get sweaty underboobs though as they are an E cup.

It can work its way up from your inner thighs. It's not like you're using it on your feet, it's quite a close proximity - but suit yourself - they're your ovaries.
