Yes, I have NC'd for this. Blush

Anyone else getting irritated by constant irritation due to the heat? The sweat causes 'paper cuts' and it stings when I have a bath etc.

Roll on autumn!!!

I thought I was the only one! What a relief..I feel it's time to share my most shameful moment ever.... on a non-AC. bus in South America with my best friend.... got up after several sweaty hours ... wearing a light yellow silk skirt.... as I walked up the aisle with my friend behind me, gradually realising the back of my skirt was SOAKED with thigh sweat. THE WALK OF SHAME ... TOTAL HUMILIATION as an entire bus load of people saw the huge sweaty patch on the back of my skirt BlushBlushBlush

Try vagisil powder?

Eliza9917 · 24/07/2018 21:38

Try dryfit underwear from the sports department.

Ihavenoideaatall · 24/07/2018 21:41

I do think pubes help with this situation. For me anyway, maybe not for everyone.

Geekmama · 24/07/2018 21:42

I’m really hating the weather too My saving grace Is Lush silky underwear. It’s amazing!! uk.lush.com/products/silky-underwear

Nothisispatrick · 24/07/2018 21:44

The pubes don't help me at all. They make it so much worse.

Addictschild · 24/07/2018 21:45

You all need odaban it stops sweating completely

I can't get through the summers here (it's pretty much hot and manky all the time) without Gold Bond powder - it's a medicated cooling powder and it is wonderful. Pretty much everywhere from under my boobs to the backs of my knees get powdered, and sometimes inside my shoes as well!

Gwenhwyfar · 24/07/2018 21:49

"Some of us are more prone to it than others, have some sympathy."

Yes, but it's interesting to try to find out why isn't it?
One possibility is just that some people worry about it more isn't it? I don't really care if I'm sweaty in areas that nobody else can see or smell.
Menopause is another possibility.

"I still got chubrub when I was size 8/10."

Yes. I don't find it a huge problem though, but then 'this heatwave' is not happening where I live. The very hot days have been over for a while.

Do you all live in the south of England or are some people having these problems when it's under 25 Celsius?

mineofuselessinformation · 24/07/2018 21:54

Can I just say itchy nipple(s)?
I've suffered horribly in the last couple of weeks.
Mine is now peeling and no longer itches thank goodness, but I'd have happily chopped it off a week ago! Grin

CelebratedMonkey · 24/07/2018 22:03

"Yes, but it's interesting to try to find out why isn't it?"

Yes but you sound very sneering about it. People aren't worrying about it for no reason, the OP was in pain! So was I all of last week!

It has been nearly 30 every day where I am (East of England) for weeks. 33 degrees the last few days 30-34 expected over next few days though thankfully it may rain on Saturday. So your 'heatwave' may not be the same as everyone else's, but there is one.

OnTopOfSpaghetti · 24/07/2018 22:07

@MiniPharm I have had that too, was wearing a light beige silk skirt at a works do one particularly warm summers evening, sitting on a plastic chair, absolutely mortified when I stood up to realise that I looked as if I had wet myself
Managed to shuffle off to the ladies and dry off under the hand dryer. I learned my lesson that evening, never wear light colours or silk when it is hot!
@Gwenhwyfar lucky you to not have this problem, see above - it absolutely can be visible to others and I think you would care a great deal if it happened to you.
FWIW I have been all sizes over the years from 8-18 and always had this problem. As pp said, a little sympathy wouldn't go amiss.

OnTopOfSpaghetti · 24/07/2018 22:09

I have actually taken a great deal of comfort from this thread knowing that I am not alone. Its not exactly something you bring up in casual conversation is it?

alltoomuchrightnow · 24/07/2018 22:10

Overweight doesn't have to mean sweaty.
I'm 18-20 right now and have never had chub rub. I do get a bit under boobs but that's it. No sweaty brow or upper lip (I'm 47)
I do have a thyroid problem though, most of the year I'm permanently shivering. So the sun really makes me feel alive
The paper cuts thing is horrible though. I only had this one as a teen and didn't know what it was. I have a feeling it was mild thrush without other symptoms. It drove me half crazy

alltoomuchrightnow · 24/07/2018 22:11

Once as a teen

Poodletip · 24/07/2018 22:14

Under 25C? It's been over 30C here! I'm starting to get used to the constant sweat. I think my sweaty face and hair embarrass me the most though. So visible!

BunsOfAnarchy · 24/07/2018 22:17

Yep. Total fandensation station over here.

Bum sweat. Vag sweat. Titty sweat. Never felt sexierHmm
Trying to breastfeed in this bitch weather is not on.

Windmillsinsummer · 24/07/2018 22:19

I used to think that sweaty underboobs was the worst feeling until i started wearing a Prostehic leg i have to wear 3 thick stump sports type socks under it they are sopping within 10 minutes making walking difficult. Driclor overnight and washed off in the morning has started to help so i reckon that it would help underboobs and thighs too for those looking for something.

MitchDash · 24/07/2018 22:20

Cool showers make your body work to heat up. Blood temperature showers and then drying in front a fan is delicious. Lived in Cyprus for several years, carried a baby through the summer so i recommend loose clothes, change your underwear often, stick deodorant under boobs, bellies, arms, waist if your sitting down and at the top of your bottom. Bigger knickers and bra's with no wire in.

CelebratedMonkey · 24/07/2018 22:22

"fandensation station" love this :D

TheGrumpySquirrel · 24/07/2018 22:24

I've never had chub rub. Now of course I'm huge and pregnant in the hottest summer ever, I do. And my Fanjo sticks to my legs. It's mortifying.

IhopeyoulikeNavantoo · 24/07/2018 22:25

No, I just get sweaty pits and back. Sweaty vulva is a new one on me!

LakieLady · 24/07/2018 22:26

I don't notice the underboob sweat until I take my bra off in the evening (usually about 30 seconds after I get in the door). It's so warm and damp inside my bra, I'm thinking about planting mustard & cress in there.

What I do notice is the river of sweat that runs down my spine, and then becomes a torrent when it reaches the crack of my arse. I don't seem to get sweaty groin or chub rub though, despite being a fat old mare.

LeighaJ · 24/07/2018 22:29

Sweaty boobs, it's awful, then my be a is soaked and I only have so many to change into so often stuck with a wet bra. Blush
