£1100 Justin Alexander from a shop in my nearest city.
£400 veil
£100 tiara
£70 underskirt
£200 alterations
My shoes were a bargain at £40 Grin

kaytee87 · 23/07/2018 20:59

And another £200 to have it cleaned and repaired afterwards

Sold it for £600

NoWittyNamesAvailable · 23/07/2018 21:01

£500 it was in the sample sale. The dress was perfect, would have cost £1150 to order one in though.

Eemamc · 23/07/2018 21:02

£67.50 from ASOS in 2016. It was perfect. I saw no reason to pay any more.

Eemamc · 23/07/2018 21:03

I did spend about £100 on shoes though...I got some beautiful green ones. More likely to wear those again than the dress

Triskaidekaphilia · 23/07/2018 21:04

£120, one of those Chinese eBay sellers, but I researched the seller really well and it was perfect.

ghostyslovesheets · 23/07/2018 21:05

£160 in the local bridal shop - 2001

SingingSands · 23/07/2018 21:06

Local wedding shop wanted £1200.

I ordered through a woman who sourced direct (Maggie Sottero) for £550.

Disfordarkchocolate · 23/07/2018 21:07

About £120 for a shortish shift style dress for my first wedding. About £60 from Debenhams after using a money off coupon for my second wedding.

Pixie2015 · 23/07/2018 21:11

2006 £150 when a local bridal shop was closing down - it was one of the samples £25 to alter slightly - it was exactly what I had imagined my whole life.

Passonthemessage · 23/07/2018 21:13

Think mine was 60 dollars, can't remember what the shop was called, it wasn't a big deal, had intended to get married in jeans and had a last minute change of mind. Still together nearly 20 years on.

PurpleTigerLove · 23/07/2018 21:41

£1040 in 2003. Veil was another £200 or so and about £100 for the shoes .

librarylover53 · 23/07/2018 21:43

£800 11 years ago from local independent shop. My parents wedding gift to me!

HairyToity · 23/07/2018 21:45

£400. Loved it.

HairyToity · 23/07/2018 21:45

Married in 2011.

FilthyforFirth · 23/07/2018 21:49

£1350 Vera Wang from Davids Bridal in London in 2015. Veil was another £200. I never wanted to spend that much, but I loved it!

lashesandflashes · 23/07/2018 21:50

£4,500 10 years ago. From Harrods. My mum said it looked alright 😳

Duskqueen · 23/07/2018 21:50

Mine was £900 in 2016, my mum paid for it though.

SilverPartyShoes · 23/07/2018 22:15

Mine was about £300 about 19 years ago, my friend paid about £6000 for hers, but hers was handmade and beautiful fabric (although it didnt look like it fit very well, a little too large in places)

Gottokondo · 23/07/2018 22:17

45 euro. It was a retro type dress and when I started looking for wedding dresses DH commented that he'd rather see me in his favourite dress. Well, since his opinion was the most important to me I went along with it. I did dress it up with white and ivory shoes, bag, bolero and hair flower.

NotAnotherNoughtiesTune · 23/07/2018 22:19

£750 (£800 with veil).

Was bought at a wedding shop near my parents house.

elliejjtiny · 23/07/2018 22:24

£370 in 2004 from local independent bridal shop. That included the dress, veil, hair comb thing and alterations. I loved it.

JuneMyNameIsJune · 23/07/2018 22:25

My Mum made mine for the cost of the fabric.

We went to Liberty together and bought silk dupion and velvet and she made it without a pattern by fitting it to me. It was absolutely beautiful.

She also made a full-length veil edged in silk satin. I loved everything about it, especially as she had made it.

My shoes were the most expensive item as they were handmade Basia Zarzycka. They were ornate but hidden by the length of my dress.

LouLouLove · 23/07/2018 22:28

£3k, I didn't pay. It was beautiful and I was very lucky.

BottleOfJameson · 23/07/2018 22:28

£4. To be fair it wasn't a real wedding dress (obviously for £4) and when DH and I turned up at the registry office the woman at registry office and said which wedding we were there for the receptionist told us because the bride and groom hadn't arrived yet.
