£125 off the rack in the winter sale at Bows & Belles! 1995 😀

They threw in a free hoop rental too!

AnElderlyLadyOfMediumHeight · 22/07/2018 18:45

80 quid from Hobbs, 18 years ago. Not a 'wedding' dress, though.

Phyllisss · 22/07/2018 18:46

£200 in a sale in 2006

KC225 · 22/07/2018 18:48

£150 dress (unworn) from - 2006
£400 shoes

PerfectlySymmetricalButtocks · 22/07/2018 18:49

We had robes, they cost £120 together and my dad made them. He's a tailor.

NuffingChora · 22/07/2018 18:51

Just over £2000, Badgeley Mischka in 2015. Loved it, no regrets. Veil was about £100 from a small independent maker I found online - that was for a gorgeous silk tuille. Incredible value compared to £500+ in bridal shops for the same

18 years ago. Fabric cost about £90. Two patterns £5 each. My mum made it. Priceless, as they say...

Getoffthetableplease · 22/07/2018 18:57

£38 from Monsoon Bridal sale a few years back - I loved it!

CakesAreGreat · 22/07/2018 18:58

£300ish in 2012 in a sale. If I were to do it again I would go for a lovely evening dress rather than bridal to be honest. I'm in the 'Weddings are a ridiculous amount just for one day' camp though.

HulaMelody · 22/07/2018 19:01

£600 in 2006, a romantica dress. I still love it. Cost £50 for alterations to the length, it was a family friend.

Madbengalmum · 22/07/2018 19:04

Around £10k, Couture Elizabeth Todd in 2003. Twas stunning though.

ILoveMyDressingGown · 22/07/2018 19:04

£75 from bhs

BubblesBubblesBubbles · 22/07/2018 19:05

About £300.

In the bridal shop I narrowed it down to 2.

Had a quick look on eBay the night before I was going back and found it, a sample dress was reduced from 1.6k to about £300 in my size and everything - it was stock from a shop which was closing down.

Scotgirl80 · 22/07/2018 19:06

I'm in a multi faith marriage so had 2 wedding days with a dress for each. For my arabic wedding I bought my dress from Dubai which cost £2000. For my English wedding I bought my dress from a local boutique or £1500.

goose1964 · 22/07/2018 19:07

Around £100 in 1988 , DDs was £650 3 years ago

LittleBirdBlues · 22/07/2018 19:09

It was around 500 or maybe less. Bought at max mara on sloane Street. 5 years ago.

billybullshitterz1 · 22/07/2018 19:58

Off the peg £250 in the Phase Eight sale. Another £70 to get it altered. Married last Dec. Felt great in it and glad I didn't pay more. Spent £££ on the wedding bands as we wear them everyday.

MalcolmsBrokenWalrusMoneybox · 22/07/2018 20:00

Around £300, made by a local dressmaker 10 years ago.

escape · 22/07/2018 20:03

£1500 Maggie Sottero from local boutique in 2000 - my Mum bought it, bless her .

Lordofmyflies · 22/07/2018 20:06

£2800 from Ritva Westinus in 2002.

timeisnotaline · 22/07/2018 20:08

About £3000 (equivalent, was Australia). I loved it so much. I thought I could recoup some of the cost by selling it but then couldn’t bear to part with it.

scaryteacher · 22/07/2018 20:14

£128 in 1986. Think it might have been from a House of Fraser store.

CaliforniaLoove · 22/07/2018 21:43

£800 a couple of months ago -Wed2Be. Highly recommend!

Cakecrumbsinmybra · 22/07/2018 22:00

I got married in a £10 skirt from New Look and a top that cost about £30 in the sale, from Whistles! Bare feet. Free flower in my hair 😁 It was on the beach and unplanned (by me anyway).
