£25 in 1972, from Pronuptia, French shop (I think) which was very fashionable at the time.

emsiboob · 22/07/2018 22:12

£1000 Ronald Joyce beautiful one. I flippin adore it

Elphame · 22/07/2018 22:16

£350 in 1984 - about £1100 in today's money. Luckily I can still fit in it!

NanooCov · 22/07/2018 22:43

1800 including all alterations and a handmade lace bolero from Morgan Davies in London in 2012. It's an Augusta Jones dress and I love it. Thinking of selling now as I have two sons so no need to hold onto it (probably) but would probably feel awful to part with it. I know it's just a dress but I've never felt as good as I did in it.

£1, 400 including veil and shoes in 1990.

Lumisade · 22/07/2018 22:55

Free, I wore my grandmother's.

SilverLiningSomewhere · 22/07/2018 23:00

£250...x2 as had to buy another 5 days before as I couldn't fit in the bugger. Blush

Beardedlobster · 22/07/2018 23:04

Mine was 7000. I was a plus size bride when I got married and it was from a shop in Sheffield caked Curvacous Bridal. An amazing shop and I was able to have a normal shopping experience.

LorelaiVictoriaGilmore · 22/07/2018 23:14

I had an Alice Temperley dress for the civil ceremony which was about £500. Dolce and Gabbana shoes which were £650. Then I had a Terry Fox dress and veil for the church blessing which cost £4000 but I negotiated it down to £3000.

About $90 in 2011. It was actually an off the peg bridesmaids dress, bought in NYC. It was lovely. On the other hand, my husband’s Ralph Lauren suit was around £1600.

AhhhhThatsBass · 22/07/2018 23:22

I had a lovely pair of Jimmy Choo’s which were around £500.

FrozenMargarita17 · 22/07/2018 23:25

£700 - a bridal shop in eltham

starbarmummy · 22/07/2018 23:27

£60 from Asda 7 years ago. I just saw it and thought it was just what I was after. It was a proper wedding dress. We were on a budget but I would have spent a bit more than that!

HollieBobs · 22/07/2018 23:28

£350. From eBay. 11 years ago. Saw the dress online and found it on eBay. Was a Morie Lee dress.

Luckily if fit

Loyaultemelie · 22/07/2018 23:28

£55 Down from £159 John Rocha for Debenhams

VeryFoolishFay · 22/07/2018 23:30

About £3k from this very talented lady, felt fabulous! Two weeks before Christmas, hence the ivy.

JanuarySkies · 22/07/2018 23:32

About £60 from monsoon in their sale (about 8 years ago) only wedding dress I tried on as I loved it as soon as I saw it

louella99 · 22/07/2018 23:33

Mine was £1470, Pronovias. I wanted something really sleek and simple. Don't own many expensive things and would have happily worn a £50 dress if I'd found one! But in the end it was the only one I loved and it was worth every penny

zinger · 22/07/2018 23:35

£90 + postage from light in a box and £40 to be slightly altered

Saisong · 22/07/2018 23:52

£225 in a Phase 8 sale in 2015, and even then I thought I was being extravagant! Not a bridal dress as such, but full length and very girly for me. I could wear it again for a formal occasion - if we ever did such things!

Popsicle434544 · 22/07/2018 23:56

Mine is £1850 including alterations, it's a martina liana dress and I am so in love with it Grin

Heartofglass12345 · 23/07/2018 12:05

£1000, and someone spilt drinks all over it in the night SadSad

Twotabbycats · 23/07/2018 20:39

£75 in the sale from Laura Ashley in 1996 - it had some marks on the bottom but I had it dry cleaned and it was perfect. It was a classic style silk taffeta dress with fitted bodice and massive skirt and must be my biggest bargain buy ever! My mum did the alterations. My grandma gave me £250 'towards my dress' - never imagined that would more than cover it!

IamaBluebird · 23/07/2018 20:47

I paid eight pounds for a dress from Dorothy Perkins. Flowers from the garden.
Happy days Smile
