To think those loose flowery trousers that are so popular make even the slim look like they have an arse of an elephant?

But who cares? They're comfy.

PrincessPear · 16/07/2018 08:29

Pictures? I only wear dresses so have no idea what you’re talking about!

Slartybartfast · 16/07/2018 08:30

you have no idea?
surely you just look around? or is sit just where I work Hmm

PrincessPear · 16/07/2018 08:32

I can’t say I’ve noticed them personally either in stores or on people, I probably would know if I saw them

DustyMaiden · 16/07/2018 08:34

Definitely, I look like I have the arse of an elephant in them. I know I’m slim really Smile

ferntwist · 16/07/2018 08:34

Oops, I thought they were quite flattering.

BillywigSting · 16/07/2018 08:35

I know the sort you mean. They look a bit like pyjamas.

They certainly can make bums look quite full but I still think they look lovely, and very comfortable.

steamboatwilly123 · 16/07/2018 08:35

Who cares? It's not and if they are comfy and cool, why not wear them? I can't say I've taken that much notice of other people's arses Hmm

steamboatwilly123 · 16/07/2018 08:36

*it's hot

DrLucyMaxwell · 16/07/2018 08:37

I don’t think elephantine arses are considered a bad thing anymore Grin

Magpiefeather · 16/07/2018 08:37

If you don’t like these “elephant arses” OP, look the other way Smile

IncyWincyMouseRat · 16/07/2018 08:38

Are you talking about palazzo pants? I’ve always thought they looked quite lovely, and for someone who is slim but does have an arse the size of an elephant, it was always a huge benefit to be able to buy something that actually fitted my bum without being massively elasticated.

If there’s one thing I have the Kardashians to thank for (and I think there probably is only this one) it’s probably that big bums are now fashionable and it’s much easier to buy clothes that fit!

Slanetylor · 16/07/2018 08:39

I love a cuddly looking arse.
I do see what you mean but they are so light and cool they’re perfect for this weather. They require no shaving/ tan efforts either and although they do make ones arse look big, they are flattering in other ways. If you saw me side by side with these trousers or a skirt, you’d vote for the trousers.

NotAsGreenAsCabbageLooking · 16/07/2018 08:39

I think they are very flattering! They make bums look big and round and peachy as far as I’ve seen! They’re not my thing tbh, but I’ve admired a few bums in them..

Slartybartfast · 16/07/2018 08:39

big bums are fashionable? wow I fit right in Grin
off I go for some flowery arse enhancing trousers Wink

I love these and have four pairs but the first time I wore them both DH and DD thought I had gone out in my pyjamas.

Believeitornot · 16/07/2018 08:39

Yabu

I don’t actually have the arse of an elephant even though I could do with losing a few pounds.

Instead of wasting time looking at other women and coming up with insults, why not relax and just be comfortable in your own skin?

If you aren’t comfy then get comfy. You only have one shot at life - don’t waste it being bitchy. Just enjoy your time while you have it.

I say that as someone who used to be so bitchy when younger. As I get older and everything sags, gets misshapen etc etc I have learned that being negative hasn’t really made me look any better. Instead, the best years have passed me by and I wasted them!

KC225 · 16/07/2018 08:40

Who cares what you look like from the back? You can't even see their just 'clocked the elephantine' arse expression. Waddle women is loose flowery trewsers, waddle on.

Amanduh · 16/07/2018 08:47

It’s because people pull them up to be ‘high waisted’ so they don’t sit where they should.

sonjadog · 16/07/2018 08:49

I know what you mean, but they are so comfy that I don't care.

Also, I think I am kidding myself with the idea that my arse is any less obvious in other outfits, so I may as well embrace it and enjoy the trousers.

LooksBetterWithAFilter · 16/07/2018 08:51

I love them don’t care if I look like a flowery elephant. They are cool and so comfy. Both ds’s asked if I wasn’t out in my pyjamas though.

flowercrow · 16/07/2018 08:52

yep they definitely exacerbate my arse's elephantineness.

AlphaBravo · 16/07/2018 08:52

I love my big bum (fat arse) and work on making it bigger every day (squats for life 😁).

Sucks to be you OP if you dislike your own so much you have to project that on others.

Who wants a skinny/flat/no arse?

Branleuse · 16/07/2018 08:53

what trousers are you talking about?

Mari50 · 16/07/2018 08:54

I wore a pair of floral silk trousers the other night, I’ve put on half a Stone recently so I was well aware that from behind my arse you’ll look like to pigs wrestling in a sack. Personally I didn’t give a fuck, I looked good from the front and was sitting down most of the evening...
