Mature escort

Just after people's opinions on how they'd feel living opposite a very busy adult escort. Living in a quiet cul de sac but our house is the only one that would directly be able to see what's going on (worked it out when off on maternity leave before baby was here, lots of time on my hands!)

*moral

Bluelady · 15/07/2018 21:17

Of all the advice I've seen on MN that takes the biscuit. Nice one, Vashna.

userxx · 15/07/2018 21:19

@Vashna I'd be more concerned living across the road from you then a sex worker. You sound a bit unhinged.😱

OftenHangry · 15/07/2018 21:19

Nice one. Nearly all of Vashna's "tips" are somehow illegal😂
That's quite an achievement

Nicknacky · 15/07/2018 21:19

vashna The Police wouldn’t be the slightest bit interested in your parking space. HTH

Racecardriver · 15/07/2018 21:19

I would move tbh. God only knows what kind of creeps visit her. Wouldn't want to raise my child around that if I could help it.

GossipLady · 15/07/2018 21:21

racecar I think you will very much struggle to find somewhere to live that is away from men who visit sex workers. Unless you consider a convent.

Vashna · 15/07/2018 21:22

I realise the police wouldn’t be interested. This is the whole point.

I’m not unhinged and have no involvement with police or the courts in my entire life. But I’m not joking that I would probably feel inclined to take such action in the OP’s circumstances.

Nicknacky · 15/07/2018 21:24

You ARE unhinged. Vandalising property is not a normal reaction.

FrancinePefko42 · 15/07/2018 21:27

@ Vashna

In fact I would be stating to the police that punters

Do you have any evidence they are "punters"?

are using my residential parking space on a regular basis

Do you have a legal claim on the parking spot?

to see the prostitute opposite

Do you have any evidence that she is a prostitute?

and if they are not prepared to do anything about this set-up, I will be taking matters into my own hands. If I get a fine, so what?

Well you have just given the police forewarning that you intend to set yourself up as police, judge, jury and executioner. In most civilised societies vigilantism is illegal.Law enforcement needs to be left to the professionals and free of moral judgement

Vashna · 15/07/2018 21:28

They can wipe egg or shaving foam off. It won’t kill them.

My husband was running down the Thames towpath a couple of years ago and a random woman sprayed him with indelible red ink. He was doing nothing. We didn’t report her.

Nicknacky · 15/07/2018 21:30

vashna If you persistently targeted visiters to her home then she could rightly report you for harassment.

Stop pretending to be some hard dick.

FrancinePefko42 · 15/07/2018 21:30

@Vashna

"They can wipe egg or shaving foam off. It won’t kill them"

Neither would a slap in YOUR face. But we have laws and authorised law enforcement for a reason.

Vashna · 15/07/2018 21:31

I’m not “hard” whatsoever - far from it. I just wouldn’t want this going on in my immediate environment and in plain sight.

SpiritedLondon · 15/07/2018 21:32

Well I am in the police and I would rather live across the road from a sex worker quietly going about her business then some of you who sound quite frankly like a bunch of bigots. Yes, I can see that living in a multi occupancy house where men walked in would be scary - but that’s not the case here is it? I can think of a ton of other types of occupier that would concern me a whole lot more..a crack house for example which are the epicentre of crime waves, large party houses, houses with dogs that bark all the time. Who knows about her tax situation ? I bet if she had started an Etsy business making candles or cushions you would not be having this conversation. You’re just finding a way to stick it to her because you’ve made a judgement about what type of person she is without even having a conversation with her.

Nicknacky · 15/07/2018 21:32

And what if one of the car owners caught you damaging his car. What then?

Vashna · 15/07/2018 21:33

So you would slap me but it’s all “live and let live” as far as punters go? Hmm

JacquesHammer · 15/07/2018 21:38

You're so right. I will jack in my business and see how I do advertising my saggy tits on the Internet. I am sure the NHS would be delighted to see their revenue from me go to zero

For such a “high flyer” your comprehension skills aren’t so much. Just to help you out though, why compare yourself to others? I run my own business, pay my tax. How would it help my life to think “x isn’t paying tax, that’s not fair”. It doesn’t. In the slightest way.

FrancinePefko42 · 15/07/2018 21:39

I am guessing you meant EBay. That description just about sums me up (although it was not on EBay). I decided to be above board and kosher from day one my that my taxes would pay for the police, armed forces, NHS, schools, hospitals etc etc. Why shouldn't this woman? She may well be. She may be VAT registered and accept contactless payment cards for all I know. But there is no harm in tipping HMRC off and they have a dedicated unit to investigate such cases.

jazzyfizzles · 15/07/2018 21:42

Yes I wouldn't rather not live opposite a crack house either, but it's not a case of having one or the other.

I won't be damaging their cars, don't worry.

Yes we own the space that the clients park in, but that doesn't seem to bother them.

OP posts:
coffeecool · 15/07/2018 21:42

Does this make a case for Swedish style legislation making paying for sex illegal? (selling is legal). The police can then be expected to question mount surveillance and interrogate the punters.

What would happen to the UK's tax revenues if everyone applied your "logic"? Hmm

HonkyWonkWoman · 15/07/2018 21:44

I would definately rather live facing a prostiture than live anywhere near you, Vashna!
You do sound like a bloody weirdo!
Cray, cray!!! 😱😱😱😱

JacquesHammer · 15/07/2018 21:44

There’s people like you, the bitterest caped crusaders of tax evasion.

I’m far more concerned about big businesses paying their legitimate taxes rather than the small fry

Bluelady · 15/07/2018 21:46

Yup, me too. Give me the prostitue any day.
