More of a WWYD - Naked wanking neighbour

Hi everyone sorry I'm posting here for traffic.

A month ago a couple moved into the house two doors down from me ("MNN" - male new neighbour). Other than an acknowledging nod in passing I have never spoken to them.

One night a couple of weeks ago I came home at about 10.30 at night and MNN was stood in his lounge window with the lights on, curtains wide open and butt naked. I saw everything. I thought it may have been an accident i.e it's late at night and he's just walking around naked (although the way I drive in to my parking space my lights would have shone right in his window Hmm ).

Then another night I came home at about 10.30 again and there was someone having extremely loud sex - it was a hot night so everyone had their windows open. As I got home my 13yo DD was closing her window to block out the sex noises. (In fairness I cannot say whether it was definitely the new neighbours but I did do the obligatory mumsnet clap when they finished Grin ).

Then last week my NDN (between me and new neighbours) told me that his cleaner had been in his kitchen in the middle of the day and MNN had been in his own garden at the top naked and wanking. MNN saw the cleaner and rather than looking sheepish and running inside he kept going only harder Hmm .

I have just got back from picking DD up from a party and, driving into our parking area where we have to look straight at new neighbours' house, MNN was in his bedroom, window open, curtains open wanking away. DD noticed it and even commented saying "is that really necessary".

I do wish I had shouted at the time "close your curtains" but it didn't occur to me at the time.

If it weren't for my NDN's story about his cleaner I would assume it was just carelessness but tonight it was almost as if he had deliberately positioned himself so anyone driving up or walking past would see. I don't think I feel comfortable knocking and asking them to ensure curtains are closed as it's just me and DD so don't want to draw specific attention to us - particularly as he can see into our garden and it just feels creepy tbh. Their house is rented so at least they may not be there permanently.

WWYD?

@Tumerictits2018 you have issues if you find wanking at children funny

Tumerictits2018 · 14/07/2018 21:55

asqueezeoflime I found it funny as an eight year old! Calm down 😂

danigrace · 14/07/2018 21:55

OP 101 can take ages to answer, in the past I've left it on speaker whilst doing my cleaning

katseyes7 · 14/07/2018 21:56

Report it to the police. lf he's doing it outside, it's indecent exposure. lf he's doing it inside, but where he can be seen from outside, it's outraging public decency. Either way, it's a criminal offence.

WigglyBlossom · 14/07/2018 21:57

snap I wouldn't bother, he knows exactly what he is doing and he's getting off on doing it as well.

Tumerictits2018 · 14/07/2018 21:57

I will add my mum called the police at the time and rightly so. I’m just saying it didn’t affect me at all, as an EIGHT year old I found it hilarious!

Tomatoesrock · 14/07/2018 21:57

Can you Google the local stations number. I have done this in the past if not an emergency.

funnylittlefloozie · 14/07/2018 21:58

Just ringing 999 does NOT mean that the police will arrive on blues and twos. The control room will make the decision on how to deal with the job.

NotAsGreenAsCabbageLooking · 14/07/2018 22:02

@floozie I don’t think you understand what 999 is for. This situation absolutely does not warrant taking up a 999 dispatchers time when they could be deciding how to handle an actual emergency..

Pause3FuhFuh · 14/07/2018 22:07

Definitely 101. They'll send police the same as 999 do, maybe a bit slower, but you won't take up call handlers time when they could be otherwise dealing with a life threatening situation.

PitterPatterOfBigFeet · 14/07/2018 22:09

Definitely police. If he's doing it deliberately (and it sounds like he is) he'll probably get off on the fact that it's making other people feel uncomfortable.

MayCatt · 14/07/2018 22:10

Today he exposed himself whilst committing a sex act. Exposed himself to a child. To your child. Report this to the police.

Sammyham88 · 14/07/2018 22:11

Police 100%

Keep a diary of all the incidents that have happened so far and go to your NDN and ask them to back your evidence up also, no one let alone your 13 year old DD or any other children in your area should be exposed to this perv.

If you catch him again, photo & video him to strengthen your evidence. Sorry your having to deal with this OP, disgusting situation to be put in.

AnastasiaVonBeaverhausen · 14/07/2018 22:12

I know this situation is in no way funny, but Husband has just caught me pottering around the kitchen, absentmindedly singing "wankety wank" to the them tune of "Blankety Blank" because of this thread 🙈

londonrach · 14/07/2018 22:12

Police op.

TiltedTowers · 14/07/2018 22:13

An ''exhibitionist''.

He's done it several times so don't doubt yourself. Report.

SerenDippitty · 14/07/2018 22:13

Definitely report to the police.

CaMePlaitPas · 14/07/2018 22:14

Sex pest - report to police immediately. You may have to take photos/videos as evidence - just be aware.

LittleMissPetty · 14/07/2018 22:15

Have now spoken to 101. They're going to pass my details on to the local force to contact me. I did try and take a covert photo the other night when he was stood in his window naked but unfortunately it's very blurry.

Another one for the police. Especially because of your daughter seeing it. It sounds like being seen is part of it and something he enjoys. If somone ran up to you in the street and did this they would be a flasher and you'd report them. This is horrible. Hope it's resolved soon.

chockaholic72 · 14/07/2018 22:25

This happens to me when I lived in London - a guy in the rather smart flats across the way kept doing it. I wasn't sure whether to ring the police but mentioned it to his building concierge when he'd done it when my young nieces were staying. They didn't hesitate to ring the police and he moved out a month later.

BluePheasant · 14/07/2018 22:30

Are you able to find out the contact details for the landlord? I would be inclined to write to them explaining the situation and let them know that the police are aware.

NataliaOsipova · 14/07/2018 22:34

God only knows what he'd end up doing with the cheque book and pen.....😂😂
(We are showing our age now....!)

Lilicat1013 · 14/07/2018 22:35

I will add my vote to those saying call the police. I also want to point out the serious sexual offenders almost always start out with 'low level' offenses such as peeping Tom behaviour or flashing. He may find exposing himself like this extremely titillating right now but they thrill will wear off and he may opt to escalate his behaviour to get that thrill back.
This is not an accident, he is making a deliberate choice to do this in front of you, your daughter, the cleaner. Report him to the police each and every time he does it, he is a sex offender.

LittleMissPetty · 14/07/2018 22:39

The local force have just called. They said that they will be going out to have a word with him although not tonight (didn't expect it to be tonight tbh). Thank you everyone for your comments.
