More of a WWYD - Naked wanking neighbour

Hi everyone sorry I'm posting here for traffic.

A month ago a couple moved into the house two doors down from me ("MNN" - male new neighbour). Other than an acknowledging nod in passing I have never spoken to them.

One night a couple of weeks ago I came home at about 10.30 at night and MNN was stood in his lounge window with the lights on, curtains wide open and butt naked. I saw everything. I thought it may have been an accident i.e it's late at night and he's just walking around naked (although the way I drive in to my parking space my lights would have shone right in his window Hmm ).

Then another night I came home at about 10.30 again and there was someone having extremely loud sex - it was a hot night so everyone had their windows open. As I got home my 13yo DD was closing her window to block out the sex noises. (In fairness I cannot say whether it was definitely the new neighbours but I did do the obligatory mumsnet clap when they finished Grin ).

Then last week my NDN (between me and new neighbours) told me that his cleaner had been in his kitchen in the middle of the day and MNN had been in his own garden at the top naked and wanking. MNN saw the cleaner and rather than looking sheepish and running inside he kept going only harder Hmm .

I have just got back from picking DD up from a party and, driving into our parking area where we have to look straight at new neighbours' house, MNN was in his bedroom, window open, curtains open wanking away. DD noticed it and even commented saying "is that really necessary".

I do wish I had shouted at the time "close your curtains" but it didn't occur to me at the time.

If it weren't for my NDN's story about his cleaner I would assume it was just carelessness but tonight it was almost as if he had deliberately positioned himself so anyone driving up or walking past would see. I don't think I feel comfortable knocking and asking them to ensure curtains are closed as it's just me and DD so don't want to draw specific attention to us - particularly as he can see into our garden and it just feels creepy tbh. Their house is rented so at least they may not be there permanently.

WWYD?

Ew, definitely not an accident, report to 101. Jeez there are some proper weirdos out there.

goingtotown · 14/07/2018 21:22

Be prepared for him to deny it.

petrolpump28 · 14/07/2018 21:24

really?

AnastasiaVonBeaverhausen · 14/07/2018 21:27

Definitely call the police. I'd love to say go round and tear him off a strip but he'd probably answer the door wanking furiously so it's just not worth the risk.

TheHobbitMum · 14/07/2018 21:28

Disgusting creep, he knows exactly what he is doing! Definitely report him to the police

believinginangels · 14/07/2018 21:28

Report him to the police. This happened to me years ago, where the guy would watch me from his bedroom window if I was in the kitchen! On investigation they found he had been abusing children.

Phone the police. I would use 999 as a crime is actually in progress, especially as he is deliberately doing this in front of a child. People have been sent to prison for similar offences, it is NOT a trivial thing.

Cally62 · 14/07/2018 21:31

OMG. How awful. Obviously your NDN has issues. This is not normal behaviour.

The exact same thing happened to me about 16 years ago. New neighbour moved in across the road. Both my dd's were young. I introduced myself one day trying to be neighbourly...big mistake.
He tried to befriend my dd's...I think alarm bells rang early on. Then one evening he sat in his bedroom window, lights on curtains open, wanking away. He knew that we could see him. I closed the curtains and called the police.

He was taken to court and prosecuted.

Please report this to the police op. The guy is clearly a perverted wanker who clearly has issues.

Tumerictits2018 · 14/07/2018 21:31

think of the kiddiewinks😂

I got flashed by a wanking man when I was 8. I’m fine 😂

WhatInTheWorldIsGoingOn · 14/07/2018 21:31

Your daughter is 13 years old and saw him doing it. He was not embarrassed or shocked at being caught. It was not an accident. The police would be very interested in someone doing this in front of a 13 year old child.

Souledout · 14/07/2018 21:31

He knows you can all see him.

Tomatoesrock · 14/07/2018 21:32

Call the police, He is an exhibitionist with weird motives known a teenager girl can hear and see him.

PlateOfBiscuits · 14/07/2018 21:35

Tumerictits2018 Hmm So it’s fine for men to be flashing at children then? Wtf?

GreatDuckCookery6211 · 14/07/2018 21:36

Can't believe you haven't rang the police already.

wrenika · 14/07/2018 21:37

I'd report it to the police but I can't say I really care whether someone gets off on flashing his junk. Human genitalia is pretty ugly...it's hard to get any enthusiasm to either like or dislike it. He wants a reaction. Don't give it to him.

Tumerictits2018 · 14/07/2018 21:37

PlateOfBiscuits nope she should absolutely call the police, but I wouldn’t worry about it affecting the kiddies. I found it hilarious at age 8 😂

NotAsGreenAsCabbageLooking · 14/07/2018 21:37

If someone is seriously ill or injured, and their life is at risk, you should call 999 immediately. If not, consider other options. The same goes for reporting a crime. According to the Metropolitan Police, if a crime is currently taking place and you are in immediate danger, dial 999.

Please don’t waste the 999 dispatchers time, but definitely report it to 101.

AnastasiaVonBeaverhausen · 14/07/2018 21:43

Oh gosh no not 999. Aside from anything else all the lights and sirens and people running at the house he'd probably have the orgasm of his life, the hideous creep.
No, 101 so they can have a nice chat with him while he's fully clothed...

TooManyPaws · 14/07/2018 21:45

Report to the police on 101. Flashing isn't a minor crime; it's often a stage on the pathway to serious sexual offending. Colin Pitchfork, the first murderer convicted by DNA evidence, turned from flasher to murderer when his victims didn't run the 'right way' from him.

allthatmalarkey · 14/07/2018 21:47

As PPs have said someone deliberately wanking so a thirteen year old girl can see must be committing an offence. Call the police.

TheLittleThingsLikeVodka · 14/07/2018 21:47

Performing sex acts in front of multiple unsuspecting women and a child- I’d definitely report

LittleMissPetty · 14/07/2018 21:47

Thanks everyone. There is a lot of kids around here so the fact he was doing it at 8.30pm in plain sight of anyone walking past did gross me out a bit. Currently not getting an answer at 101 but will keep trying.

I would go knock on his dorr and tell him very calmly "I've seen you, masturbating in the window. And if my 13 year old daughter catches so much as a glimpse of your dick, not only will I be calling the police complaining about the nonce next door, you'll be singing soprano in prison. Are we absolutely, crystal fucking clear?"
