To dislike my labia?! **Title Edited by MNHQ**

It’s given birth to both my babies but the lips hang low. Before sex I end up moving them apart and I’m embarrassed. It’s not a first world problem but between that and my overhang I’m embarrassed. Is it just me who feels awkward? Or do people embrace their vaginas? I realise this is a very odd post.

I have a recommendation for you, it's called a life

I bloody love it when people unironically post this on forums to someone they disagree with 😂 it’s a classic

Rednaxela · 09/07/2018 17:32

@KC225

Will do! Grin

LyndseyKola · 09/07/2018 17:34

Instead of a life can I get a ‘Vulva Pedant’ badge please?

There are certainly worse things to care about than women’s health education :)

I love the smiling vagina clitoris 😂💛

Justtheonequestion · 09/07/2018 17:36

Urgh that badge is minging.

TornFromTheInside · 09/07/2018 17:40

It's incredibly sad how many women are fearful of how their labia appear. Perhaps akin to men being worried about their penis.

It's a bit of a paradox, but whilst each woman is unique, they're also very much the same. Different enough to be you, but not so different to be abnormal.

There was a TV show a few years ago where a photographer took photos of hundreds of vulvae, to reassure women that their large, or small labia where actually all very normal.

The beauty of a vulva isn't in precision and symmetry. It's in the intimacy and random beauty of the lady you're with. The same asymmetry that makes landscapes beautiful and interesting is the very same asymmetry that makes the curves and folds of a woman so wonderful.

Never thought I'd be saying that over a pickle and cheese sarnie!

IllHaveALargeGlassOfRed · 09/07/2018 17:52

I have a lovely fanny! Nice and neat is how it's been described Smile

PeppaP · 09/07/2018 17:53

Love the badge, I’d wear that, even if it is a bit unrealistic yet pink Wink

TornFromTheInside · 09/07/2018 18:05

You've inspired me:

I have a lovely fanny, it's nice and neat I'm told
There isn't much to see, just a crease and then a fold
I've never had a complaint, no man would be so bold
I just hope that it's as pretty when fanny gets quite old

Big lips, small lips, thin or wide, all deserve a kiss
To own a pair is wonderful, some would say it's bliss
And if they ask about my badge, all I'll say is this:
Look, admire, stand back in awe, but never take the p**s!!!

IllHaveALargeGlassOfRed · 09/07/2018 18:12

I can hear Fascinating Aida singing that! Smile

ProperLavs · 09/07/2018 18:19

Surely that's a Victoria wood number?

stopfuckingshoutingatme · 09/07/2018 18:54

It’s not completely unreasonable
To dislike your vagina post childbirth

I mean you see what they were , and the damage wrought and it’s a bit of a shock

I had to look close up when I had a fairly nasty thrush case (cutting the booze and sugar down helped massively FYI)

And I was a bit Confused to see the devastation wrought by my 10lb second child

Anyway sorry for swearing at the VULVA cops

Off to do
Some more
Pelvic floors

Justtheonequestion · 09/07/2018 18:57

Omfg queen of the pedants for using the term VULVAE......
Surely the plural of labia is ......labia
The concept of them needing a kiss is odd but then i think oral sex is disgusting. Mouths are for food not bits you pee out of. Ugh Envy

Wtf

Vulvae is the plural of vulva.

Don’t you think the poster would have used ‘labia’ if they were referring to labia Confused

“Vulva” has always reminded me of the Volvo brand of car, incidentally.

Funnily enough my OH doesn’t focus on stimulating my urethral opening when he goes down on me. If your OH is doing that no wonder you’re not a fan 😂

TornFromTheInside · 09/07/2018 19:06

Mouths are for food not bits you pee out of

Everything that comes out went in that way!
We eat with hands that wipe bottoms
It's mind over matter and if someone doesn't mind, then it doesn't matter!

Poetic license is required!

Justtheonequestion · 09/07/2018 19:11

Lyndsey
Wtf??
I KNOW that. Just amazed a thread on fanny lips ended up discussing plura.
Thanks for the concern Confused
And no i dont have an oh but when i did none of them went down there. Akin to eating used toilet roll. And lets not start on rimming....

Hillstreamloach · 09/07/2018 19:11

Thanks for editing the thread title MNHQ. This is now the MNettiest thread ever Grin

TSSDNCOP · 09/07/2018 19:22

It isn’t the labelling that’s the issue. It’s the high-handed, sneery “don’t you even know that” tone that the Vulva Brigade adopt.

Does a bloody bell ring in Vulva HQ, when a poor, depressed woman seeking help posts?

TornFromTheInside · 09/07/2018 19:25

I think @justheonequestion wants to change the title to 'dislick' my labia!

(sorry justtheone) - just having fun with wordplay, not at you

Did you see the first post asking if OP meant labia?

She was very polite and nice and supportive.

Why project something that isn’t there?

Moominfan · 09/07/2018 19:30

You've got an outie op and that's ok :)

TSSDNCOP · 09/07/2018 19:36

Because the umpteen threads after we’re a long way from polite Lynsey. Perhaps if you took the time to read them you’d see that I wasn’t projecting. But don’t let the facts stand in the way of a nice patronising tone.

Which post was that then?
