But not to the point where you will LTB.

My DH insists on chucking all his beer can in the black bin and not a recycle bin!

If my DP cuts himself shaving, he'll wipe his face with a new, clean, white towel in the bathroom, leaving a bloodstain on it. I've asked him so many times to use tissues/cotton wool instead (both are freely available by the sink!).

Like so many other posters' OHs, he'll put his stuff on, not in, the laundry basket.

He shouts at the TV when some politico is on that he doesn't like.

Apart from that, he is a pretty good egg, I love him to bits, and I know I'm not an easy person to live with Blush

letsallhaveanap · 28/06/2018 23:10

using a new mug every single time when he makes a cup of tea... even if he has literally just drank a cup of tea out of another mug... so theres just a ton of mugs by the sink at the end of the day
He does often do the washing up but it still just drives me insane because what is the point?? just rinse out the mug you just used!!

SparePantsAndLego · 28/06/2018 23:14

Breathing... am I on the wrong thread?!

WearyAlready · 28/06/2018 23:15

Takes FOREVER to get ready to go out (to, like, the supermarket or something, not the opera). He has a beard, so I blame all these hipster barbers who keep selling him beard balm and moustache wax and other such nonsense.

Seriously, I'll be sitting, dressed and ready, reading a book for half an hour while he potters about preening.

We were going to an event some months ago, and had called a taxi, which was kept waiting while he d*cked about. When we FINALLY left and got in the cab, the driver made some 'hilarious' joke about me (ME!) not being able to decide not to wear, and had it not been for the screen, I would have decked him.

Also breathes heavily, which really annoys me, but he has scar tissue around his naval cavities, so I feel bad about that.

Longdistance · 28/06/2018 23:16

After today I could murder him.

‘This house is a shithole’, from the man that never puts anything back in its place, and has coffee cups lying around 🤔

Tomorrowillbeachicken · 28/06/2018 23:18

longdistance how did you not shout TIDY IT UP THEN

Ilovemypantry · 28/06/2018 23:20

Oh God , reading this thread again tonight and I’ve just thought of another one for my DH....starting a conversation when I am engrossed in something on TV, drives me INSANE! Even when he can see I’m trying to watch something, he will just talk and talk and talk even if I don’t answer!
Isn’t it therapeutic to be able to share these annoying things about our DHs.

Longdistance · 28/06/2018 23:20

This is the current state of me 😴 I’m exhausted.

Get this, he’s been out 3 times this week already, and we’re going to his friends for the night.

It’s obviously a self tidying house, especially when you piss about at Royal Ascot.

Ilovemypantry · 28/06/2018 23:26

Just wondering if there was a similar thread on “dadsnet” what our DHs would say annoyed them about us 😂😂

Tomorrowillbeachicken · 28/06/2018 23:29

DH hates it when I nag... I only nag as he does naff all

letsallhaveanap · 28/06/2018 23:29

Ilovemypantry lol id love to see that!! Actually I think we should start a thread preempting what they would say?

NotUmbongoUnchained · 28/06/2018 23:29

My husbands list would be so very long.

letsallhaveanap · 28/06/2018 23:32

Mine would say 'treats the car like a bin'
'pushes me and wakes me up even though I have work in the morning because she wants me to turn over because my breathing is annoying her'
'moves my things'
'Just expects me to know how to do DIY/Gardening tasks even though she doesnt know how to do them either'

Ilovemypantry · 28/06/2018 23:35

Tomorrowwillbeachicken
Same here. Complains that I’m always nagging but doesn’t realise that if he just got on and did the things he’s supposed to, there would be no need to nag.

Skittlesandbeer · 28/06/2018 23:54

Yep, hanging laundry. If he does it, it’s usually doubled over (or tripled), then hung in ‘smile’ shapes, all hammocky in the middle. Clothes come off with damp areas, collections of bugs caught in the folds and creases that mean they need ironing. Oh yes, and he hangs them all parallel, squashed into one tiny area of our huge clothesline. Just in case the sun and breeze needed an obstacle course to navigate!

Visitors marvel at his clothes hanging. I should sell tickets, and use them in ‘before’ photos in some sort of domestic training course.

StuntNun · 29/06/2018 10:05

He will only clean using branded products so if I buy supermarket own brand kitchen cleaner then he has to go off to the shop to buy Mr Muscle because the own brand one "doesn't work."

PerfectlySymmetricalButtocks · 29/06/2018 10:20

Noise from his wedding ring GreatDuck? Is it musical? Confused

LuluJakey1 · 29/06/2018 10:51

fiery Yes yes to the 'narrates what he is doing'. It drives me mad after 2 minutes. Today he is on a day off- school closed- and is determined to empty the garage for builders coming in September Hmm. I can hear him talking to himself.
'I'll do three piles: Tip, Charity Shop and Keep.....actually I'll do 4 and have a To Sell pile. Right c'mon let's make a start then'.

There is no one else there. It all went quiet for a bit (presume he was just getting on and then I heard 'Stop being a hoarder, just let it go. It is just an old bike. You don't need it.........I'll take it into work for the bike project, they could do it up and use it...........(another period of quiet) .....Nah, that's got to go, it is knackered.....I could get some strong wood glue and glue it together and see if it held.......Dad might be able to do something with it....no it's beyond help. Tip'.
I am leaving him to it until I am called to ratify the decisions. Wink

heyduggeee · 29/06/2018 11:15

CRUMBS! One slice of toast - crumbs by the toaster, crumbs on the kitchen worktop where he's put the butter on....crumbs in the butter where he's put the knife back in. Crumbs in the washing up bowl where hes chucked the knife. crumbs all over the kitchen floor where he stands and eats the toast!!

Using multiple mugs, probably has 3-4 cups of tea in the evening and will keep getting out a new mug every time.

Starts multiple jobs round the house but never finishes them.

Slurps his tea/coffee/anything.

19lottie82 · 29/06/2018 11:26

In fairness my DH is a lot tidier than me and bizarrely seems to enjoy cleaning when he has a day off, but the one thing he does that really pisses me off is that, after. Shower he insists on leaving his towel on (my side of) the bed 😡

Andro · 29/06/2018 11:36

Yes yes to the 'narrates what he is doing'

I do this, my internal monologue escapes on a regular basis - it's as if 'saying it out loud' clarifies my thought processes. Fortunately, DH finds it amusing and leaves me to it.

thenightsky · 29/06/2018 12:07

I came on to say hanging out the washing, but I see I've been beaten to it. One day will take a pic and post on here.

Mc180768 · 29/06/2018 12:33

Great thread. Many have already been covered.

Can never find wallet, keys or phone.
Never looks at the sat nav
Breathes on me at nights.
Turns off the fan whining about the electricity bill
Soaks pans
Never rinses the recycling stuff
Puts open tins in the fridge -this drives me fucking over a cliff
What does he do with socks
Puts too much in the washing machine
Whines if I don't replace the fuel in his car

However. He's not a bad brick at all.

ladybirdsaredotty · 29/06/2018 13:53

Oh god I'm nodding along to so many of these after adding my own gargantuan list Grin

ladybirdsaredotty · 29/06/2018 13:54

Tbf I narrate most of my life...
