DH just gone away for three days, otherwise he would talk me down I’m sure. But right now it’s just me and the DC and I’ve opened DDs room to discover this.... nest? Chrysalis? It’s about 5cm x 3cm. Help!

Ryder63 · 20/06/2018 20:14

Any aroma from it OP? have you tried gently wafting?

Fuck me! NO! what if it snaps and farts at OP? Shock

Spaghettio · 20/06/2018 20:15

DS(10) says mound covered maggots (wtf?)!

Bluelonerose · 20/06/2018 20:15

What kind of alien ass snails do you people have in your garden?! Shock

Op I think you need Doctor Who to deal with it.

Spaghettio · 20/06/2018 20:15

Mould! Mould covered maggots FFS!

Eliza9917 · 20/06/2018 20:15

God I’d love it to be a snail. DH back Friday afternoon. Bugger it he’s been gone less than an hour

I'd make him come back!

IDontLikeZombies · 20/06/2018 20:15

Do you have any Van Helsings in your local phonebook, OP? Grin

Tinkobell · 20/06/2018 20:16

My 2 teens both said it's a tawny owl but at 5 x 3cm it's a matchbox owl. Really OP, it's quite small....I've plucked bigger bogeys of my kids face than that....grab a napkin.

ElMarineroBaila · 20/06/2018 20:16

We need a banana for scale

ChardonnaysPrettySister · 20/06/2018 20:17

OP, you need a cat, volunteer or not.

Stick it in the room with the Thing. One of them will come out alive.

ChardonnaysPrettySister · 20/06/2018 20:18

DS(13) says radioactive caterpillar (they've had an infestation at his school and he's obsessed)!

Please tell me the school is on Outer Mongolia.

TovaGoldCoin · 20/06/2018 20:18

Lost African Land Snail..... Somebody has dumped it in the garden.... And its ended up in your house...

LadyMonicaBaddingham · 20/06/2018 20:18

Poke it with the banana. Hope no fangs poke out to devour same. Sorry not sorry

Tinkobell · 20/06/2018 20:20

Maybe a lump of manky mould?

MummyandStepMum · 20/06/2018 20:22

Nah I wouldn't be touching that, pack your bags!

Pembrokedangler · 20/06/2018 20:22

Poke it!!

Ancientmummyofwooooos · 20/06/2018 20:22

Can we call it Gerald? It seems less threatening as a Gerald!

niceupthedance · 20/06/2018 20:22

Cocoon of giant moth or thousands of baby spiders. Marvellous!

derenstar · 20/06/2018 20:23

That’s definately an alien, burn the house down. That thing is giving me the heebie- jeebies! 😱

EhWhatPardon · 20/06/2018 20:23

@OliveOrTwist wish I could take the credit but it's an old thread on here... can't remember what about, but it's my go to phrase for everything now

MellowMelly · 20/06/2018 20:23

@halfwitpicker
Grin ‘snapped and farted’ made this thread even funnier

tastylancs · 20/06/2018 20:24

Doobydoo the towel is rolled up at the bottom of the door - my logic was that it would stop the wasps or spiders from infiltrating the house.

ClownStar · 20/06/2018 20:24

Take off and nuke it from orbit. It's the only way to be sure.

BuggerOffAndGoodDayToYou · 20/06/2018 20:24

Looks like a snail to me. We’ve had them in the boy’s room before...similar sort of position, no visible trail.....

Poke it OP......POKE IT!

Eenymeeny123 · 20/06/2018 20:25

Sorry lads I've looked at loads of pictures of snails and even the big ones I've seen look like snails!!!! This does not look like any pictures I've seen, as for putting a cat or dog in there to investigate, how would they reach unless they can levitate
