No mini skirts or crop tops, yr 6 leavers party.

So not children, but girls. Please make sure girls aren’t wearing anything which could be deemed provocative. Which is how it reads to me.

AIBU or not?

'Sexualised clothing' is in the eye of the beholder. It's a very short step from that to concern about predators and in turn that gets turned into blaming of victims. The borders there are very porous. It absolutely is dodgy ground.

What is 'sexualised clothing' to one beholder is 'comfortable and weather appropriate' to another. It is also a badge of class.

Anyone can choose how they interpret clothing, hairstyle, etc. Are we sure we are completely concerned with how 'empowerment' is really playing into the patriarchy's hands or are we allowing a bit of classism to creep in here?

MC and UMC girls and boys send signals out to one another as to who they are and their rank in society too, by means of clothing and accessories and hair and general grooming (and of course accent) after all.
