i buy sausages and divide them into 4, since our dc are older and in and out and not sure if they will be home.
so i defrost for whoever is home for an Evening Meal

DH announces, he will have a sausage sandwich for lunch, or a couple of sausages for breakfast, like a bloody king!
AIBU to attempt to restrict this reckless behaviour?

No one has answered the big question...

Red sauce, brown sauce or no sauce at all...

TornFromTheInside · 17/06/2018 19:32

Brown

One actually needs to ask?

BathshebaKnickerStickers · 17/06/2018 19:35

Oh i’m Definitely red. DH is brown.

Eldest Dd is..........

BBQ

TornFromTheInside · 17/06/2018 19:37

Red sauce on sausages? what kind of pervert are you! ;-)

Emma198 · 17/06/2018 19:45

Brown on sausage red on bacon. obviously.

Eliza9917 · 17/06/2018 19:45

Sometimes I like brown sauce and sometimes I like tomato sauce, mustard & onions.

I never have brown sauce if I have onions.

TornFromTheInside · 17/06/2018 19:46

This thread is exposing the saucy sins of sausage eaters.
I'm going to report it for gross indecency!

iamyourequal · 17/06/2018 19:52

i used to buy bags of Tesco frozen sausages but prefer Waitrose or Sainsbury or even Asda, pack of 8..
I am fussy.
Are you sure you are fussy??!! 😂😂

Singlenotsingle · 17/06/2018 23:58

Anyway sausages aren't exactly big, are they? A couple of mouthfuls and it's gone¡

Bekstar · 18/06/2018 17:45

Does it really matter, if he wants a sausage sarnie, seriously it was fathers day, my husband had a full English breakfast then for lunch Sunday Roast then for tea he has pie and chips with gravy. But as its his house too I don't have a problem with him helping himself to anything else between meals of he is Hungary. Or if I'm not around for a meal. I often have a problem when making corned beef hash, I get two tins of corned beef and find when I go to get them out either hubby or son have opened one tin and it's half open in the fridge. I just bulk out the hash with veg and get over it. If I get sausages out n they cook them before tea then I'll just HOY a bit of bacon in the pan instead and spread the sausages out.

Tallyhooo · 18/06/2018 17:48

I bought this 'breakfast' sauce the other day (think it was called 'Salubrious'?) - supposed to be the ideal mix of red/brown - anyway was great with a sausage!

Orangecake123 · 18/06/2018 17:50

Share them with him then send him out to buy more.

kennycat · 18/06/2018 18:01

The swine!

Write a menu of evening meals up where the rotter can see it. Then hopefully he will be fully aware what the sausages were intended for.

Or put a padlock on the fridge. THat should stop his willy nilly attitude to porcine products.

Ron247 · 18/06/2018 18:01

Who the heck defrosts sausages? You just whack them under the grill or in the oven and cook them from frozen! p.s. YABU. It's only a couple of blooming sausages. You're behaviour seems dictatorial and controlling 😕

Motherof · 18/06/2018 18:05

Is this a serious question?

lily2403 · 18/06/2018 18:10

Is eating sausage outwith dinner a crime?
I have it when I fancy 😂😜
I would only say no if they were actually for a planned meal, if this is the case then YANBU if not then YABU

Slartybartfast · 18/06/2018 18:18

It wasnt a father's day occurrence as such , it was an every day occurrence

Tonight we’re having egg, chips, spicy sausages and beans. Meant to be a more economical tea but I spent more of the bangers than I could have Shock

Gottagetmoving · 18/06/2018 18:42

But as its his house too I don't have a problem with him helping himself to anything else between meals of he is Hungary

Blimey, if your DH eats all what you say in one day he will soon be the size of Hungary Grin

FaveNumberIs2 · 18/06/2018 18:53

What the actual fudge?

Just get more out of the damn freezer!

Fluffycloudland77 · 18/06/2018 18:59

I freeze sausage in pairs too. I’m also on a budget.

Beamur · 18/06/2018 18:59

BBQ. Good call.

Extravagant · 18/06/2018 19:00

To the one asking if they are actual royalty, the answer is yes: this is deffo Kate Middleton posting about Prince William (sausages are divided into four for the adults and two eldest, as Louis isn’t on solids yet).

SheGotBetteDavisEyes · 18/06/2018 19:02

DH announces, he will have a sausage sandwich for lunch, or a couple of sausages for breakfast, like a bloody king!

I keep reading it, laughing at how kings live, but I'm none the bloody wiser what he's done wrong.

I have literally no idea what this thread is actually about, but this made me laugh.

We always have some in the freezer so anyone can cook themselves a sausage at any time of the day if they wish

Sounds like a family of sausage emperors right there

Slidey63 · 18/06/2018 19:05

This has made me chuckle so much!

My dad (86) is in stroke rehab. If he was in a position to snaffle sausages for his breakfast/lunch, my prayers would have been answered.
