We’re having bangers mash beans and onion gravy for tea.
She insists peas are superior to beans and gravy should never be combined with beans as you can’t have two sloppy things on the plate. She is so very very wrong.

I’m on my own here but yuuuuuum! I love beans with gravy but then again I eat beans with salad cream so I’m willing to accept that I’m weird.

There'll be a whole lotta snapping and farting going on in the OP's house this evening.

She's right. Gravy & beans are vile. Same as bean juice touching eggs.

My mum used to serve shepherds pie with beans and just the thought makes me feel sick.

I would go with peas.. but this thread reminds me of that bonkers person who was up in arms about her DP making meals with "two wets" Anyone remember that?! Barmy...

I love both, but never at the same time. Gravy with peas are nectar of the gods, as are baked beans. But beans and gravy are just grim - anytime, anywhere. Or did you mean french beans? That's fine with gravy.
