I know FIFA and Russia and whoever is involved is horrible in some way... But it's the actual World Cup. Mexico v South Korea suddenly becomes hugely important to my life! England have a likeable squad and manager. Ronaldo, Messi, Neymar. Spain sacking their manager yesterday.

It's so exciting isn't it!

Tunisia did well in preventing England from playing their game, they slowed the game right down. But a good win FootballFootball

HarveySchlumpfenburger · 18/06/2018 21:08

Got the three points, eventually.

Good to know wrestling Harry Kane to the ground is now an acceptable tackle.

Amanduh · 18/06/2018 21:13

Cheating buggers.
Had the radio on until the 91st minute... got out of the car and in to the house...
YESSSSSSSSSSSS.
We look good

BitchQueen90 · 18/06/2018 21:19

We should get through to quarter finals. We can beat Panama and Group H are not a very strong group.

I say "should" but you never know. Germany currently bottom of their table was unexpected!

BitOutOfPractice · 18/06/2018 21:46

Landed at Stansted as the half time whistle blew. Off the plane, through passport control, out of the airport and in a bar in time to see the second half start.
Well done England. Get in ‘Arry! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

The80sweregreat · 18/06/2018 21:48

Group H is weak. However Belgium won’t be an easy match - they looked good today.
My wish now is for Germany to not make it out of the groups- ( they will though)

BonnieF · 18/06/2018 21:55

Agreed, Bitchqueen

Panama look very ordinary indeed. If we can’t beat them, we deserve an early flight home. Then we would get a very winnable R16 game against a team from H, the weakest group.

The referee tonight was appalling. England should have had at least 2 penalties. The Tunisian who was marking Kane appeared to think he was playing Rugby. In fact, his wrestling off the ball would concede a penalty in that game, too.

user1471517900 · 18/06/2018 22:08

If VAR isn't used for that....what is it for?

OP posts:
BitOutOfPractice · 18/06/2018 22:25

Of course Belgium don't be an easy game. They are ranked 11 places above England, third in the world. We will be very very lucky to get a point off them. I sometimes wonder where England fans think we stand in the world. 14th is the cold hard truth of it.

The80sweregreat · 18/06/2018 22:27

Bit - I know this but there’s always hope eh?
It might cheer up us brits for a few days - we could do with some cheerfulness!

LapsedHumanist · 18/06/2018 23:35

So who’s easiest on the eye this time then?

I did take note of Edinson Cavani swapping shirts...

From VAR to phwoar.
Humanist is conducting a 48hr investigation from all angles!

BitchQueen90 · 19/06/2018 06:09

@LapsedHumanist I like Ruben Loftus-Cheek. Too young for me but a girl can dream.

Dickybow321 · 19/06/2018 06:24

Haha, BitOutOfPractice that's what I was thinking too. Its like nobody's seen the Belgium team line-up Grin

LapsedHumanist · 19/06/2018 06:35

Just for you BitchQueen

To be excited about the World Cup starting!
ToffeeUp · 19/06/2018 08:10

Belgium didn't really get going against Panama and still they cruised to victory in the second half. England needs a result against Panama to state the obvious.

user1471517900 · 19/06/2018 08:13

Colombia today. I always enjoy watching them.

Poland v Senegal doesn't get pulse racing too much.

Then everyone has played one game!

BitchQueen90 · 19/06/2018 09:01

@LapsedHumanist he's a dream. 😍

I'm at work today so will miss the 12.30 match although I'm not too excited over group H anyway.

Can't see us beating Belgium so a good result against Panama is crucial.

GingerKitCat · 19/06/2018 13:21

Red card for Colombia in the opening minutes Shock

Fastest red card in a world cup since 1986 Grin

The80sweregreat · 19/06/2018 13:50

Colombia may need some help then if they are down to 10 men already!

user1471517900 · 19/06/2018 14:46

Colombia getting karma for that ref last night!

ToffeeUp · 19/06/2018 16:47

Idrissa 'Gana' Gueye Football

ToffeeUp · 19/06/2018 17:43

Senegal have a cool looking manager, he was celebrating that Poland howler for ages Grin

BitchQueen90 · 19/06/2018 20:20

Feeling sorry for Egypt.
