To be excited about the World Cup starting!

I know FIFA and Russia and whoever is involved is horrible in some way... But it's the actual World Cup. Mexico v South Korea suddenly becomes hugely important to my life! England have a likeable squad and manager. Ronaldo, Messi, Neymar. Spain sacking their manager yesterday.

It's so exciting isn't it!

Ugh, 30 mins of what is akin to watching paint dry.

They are a good team, but ageing now. I think their managerial situation's not helped either.

England and France have looked as exciting as anybody so far.

I never understood why they left Morata and Fabregas out of the squad.

That just compounds it.

Talk there have been lota of posts considering how bad the last hour has been

50/50 if it goes to pens, possibly even slightly in favour of Russia. I think Spain will feel they have more to lose due to their higher expectations.

Extra time means it still can be won "properly" in a football sense.

Ah I don't even want to think about how long penalties will take, here's hoping the tedium is over soon. After all the excitement of previous games this is certainly a change, and not for the better.

I think ET is as someone else said, a 'second chance' to decide on footballing terms (despite having already had 90 minutes).

A cynic might also wonder if additional advertising revenue plays a part too, as they get more adverts shown? ;-)
