I don’t have a hugely sweet tooth but lately I’ve been really craving a Feast ice cream.
I’ve probably not eaten one since the 90’s btw!
The chocolate centre is about the third of the size than I remember, I wanted to feel very indulged with a naughty treat and it’s not even touched the sides!

The feast is the king of ice creams. I have one or two a year and they’re the best.

Not had one this year yet so hope they haven’t changed.

Sorry it was disappointing Sad

EastMidsMummy · 30/05/2018 20:54

Once you've had a Magnum, a Feast is nothing.

Hassled · 30/05/2018 20:56

I nearly bought a Caramac the other day and the only thing that stopped me was the fear that it might not be as nice as it was in 1983, which is when I think I last had one.

I wonder what Nobbly Bobbly ice lollies are like these days? Those were amazing.

Eatsleepworkrepeat · 30/05/2018 20:58

The chocolate used to go all the way down the lolly, I'm sure the last one I had only had a couple of inches of chocolate in the middle. Nothings good anymore.

firstbornforbread · 30/05/2018 21:01

We had the same experience with feasts! I can recommend Asda's own version a 4 pack for £1. We even ate the ice cream off a feast and a fake and compared the choc centres because we are so sad GrinBlush

StealthPolarBear · 30/05/2018 21:01

Remember funny feet? I had one as an adult, they are much smaller but do taste good

witchofzog · 30/05/2018 21:02

They are not always called Feasts either. Sometimes they are called Festivals. I miss Feasts of the 90's

isseywithcats · 30/05/2018 21:02

Hassled dont bother with a caramac i had one a couple of weeks ago and they definitely dont taste as nice thers no fudgey taste any more,

WhatCanIDoNowPlease · 30/05/2018 21:03

@Hassled caramac still taste just the same, I regularly indulge at the corner shop, 3 for £1.20

WhatCanIDoNowPlease · 30/05/2018 21:04

Ooh interesting cross post!

FiloPasty · 30/05/2018 21:07

I’m tempted to head to Asda, I hate all this shrinking of naughty items!

AnneLovesGilbert · 30/05/2018 21:15

A magnum is way too much. Can’t handle it. The feast is the perfect combination of delicious things!

DontCallMeBaby · 30/05/2018 21:20

Hassled Nobblie Bobblies are still good, apparently. They’re DH’s ice lolly of choice (massive child).

I want one of the boxes of mini Magnums that has three pink raspberry ones and three dark chocolate espresso ones, but they don’t seem to exist any more.

Ginkypig · 30/05/2018 21:21

Also why is it the last three times Iv had a feast (admittedly at least 5 years ago) the chocolate in the middle was all broken! Angry Sad

There's only one way to eat a feast

Eat all the chocolate
Eat the ice cream
Suck the lovely chocolate lollipop inside

Now though you can't because the bloody chocolate falls to bits

UnderthePalms · 30/05/2018 21:22

The proper Malaco foam mushrooms are still as nice as they were in the 70s/80s. Much nicer than the Tesco copies

Amanduh · 30/05/2018 21:22

They’re smaller than they used to be and so is the choc centre, have been for a few years now.
Have found the old style-ones abroad!

JustHereForThePooStories · 30/05/2018 21:22

I’ve been boycotting Feasts since they stopped doing the mint ones.

UnderthePalms · 30/05/2018 21:22

Got my malaco ones from amazon

YetAnotherUser · 30/05/2018 21:23

Feasts are amazing, but don't be fobbed off with the far inferior "festival" that some ice cream vans do... Blergh!

Lilacwine1 · 30/05/2018 21:24

My name is Lilac and I'm addicted to coconut Magnums............

Mrsmadevans · 30/05/2018 21:24

I thought Caramac tasted the same too .
The Feast choc centre is gorgeous and yes it is too small Sad

Bunchofdaffodils · 30/05/2018 21:25

Nobbly Bobblies are still fabulous! A feast is not a feast anymore 🙁

ThomasShelbysBunnet · 30/05/2018 21:25

Never mind feasts or others, it's toffee crumbles that take me back to my youth! Lidl have been very obliging this year with retro ice lollies.

MipMipMip · 30/05/2018 21:25

Does anyone know if Zapps are still good? They always looked like gray mush with the swirled colours combining but they tasted sooooo good.

lunar1 · 30/05/2018 21:26

You need to buy the festival, they have a decent amount of chocolate in.
