Ive just eaten a childhood favorite and am so disappointed....

I don’t have a hugely sweet tooth but lately I’ve been really craving a Feast ice cream.
I’ve probably not eaten one since the 90’s btw!
The chocolate centre is about the third of the size than I remember, I wanted to feel very indulged with a naughty treat and it’s not even touched the sides!

I had caramac buttons from Poundland this week! Was so excited but they weren’t nearly as nice as the bar that I remember. They were just really sickly and didn’t have that nice slightly crumbly texture I remember ☹️

A couple of years ago l bought a tube of Parma Violets. l used to love them when l was younger.
They were disgusting. l had about four then slung them in the bin! :(

I wanted a feast the other day so added them to my online shop. They substituted them for some Cadbury’s shit. So I went to petrol station with DH to buy one and they had none left. Sad They can’t do this to a pregnant woman. I just want a feast 😭😭😭😭

I had one last week , haven't had one for years. So disappointing! Ice cream was icy and not very chocolatey and the bit in the middle was tiny. I think chocolate was just worse in the eighties so by comparison now a feast isn't the delight it once was

I used to love butterscotch Angel Delight and haven't had it since about 1980. I wonder if that would be a let down?

I think Caramacs taste much the same but aren't as creamy and crumbly as they used to be. It's like eating sweet flavoured plastic now. The buttons are a bit better than the bars.

Ah Caramac...my dear old dad always bought me a Caramac bar.

And my two children adore Nobbly Bobblys. They were utterly shocked when my ds (11) had a friend round for tea and HE HAS NEVER EATEN A NOBBLY BOBBLY MUM!!

Kids these days..

Anyway, I am old and loved an Orange Maid. Anyone else remember them? You just can't get a decent Orange lolly any more. Callippos are just too icy.
