I don’t have a hugely sweet tooth but lately I’ve been really craving a Feast ice cream.
I’ve probably not eaten one since the 90’s btw!
The chocolate centre is about the third of the size than I remember, I wanted to feel very indulged with a naughty treat and it’s not even touched the sides!

Anyone else remember Haunted House ice lollies? Summer of ‘72

@Lovemusic33 - ooh, where did you get a toffee crumble? Definitely my 80s ice cream of choice.

QOD · 30/05/2018 22:12

Gah!

Summer of ‘76 sat in a bucket of water in the garden
Best ice cream lolly ever

Binkybix · 30/05/2018 22:13

My kids call Nobblybobblies ‘mummy lollies’ 😁

blackteasplease · 30/05/2018 22:13

Funny feet are still good

Lovemusic33 · 30/05/2018 22:14

Toffee crumbles are in Morrison's.

Binkybix · 30/05/2018 22:14

Does anyone remember a lolly with elephants on the wrapper and it had some sort of jelly element?

LittleMissBrainy · 30/05/2018 22:14

I miss Ice Magic.

You can get similar by melting chocolate into ice cream but it doesn't have the magic that ice magic had! How did it work? Confused

However, I am also addicted to the swanky Magnums. The dark chocolate raspberry one, coffee one and coconut ones are just divine.

TroysMammy · 30/05/2018 22:14

I bought an arctic roll to relive my childhood. Absolute shite. Perhaps the original was shite too but during the 1970's our palates were not sophisticated Grin.

I've seen strawberry funny feet in Iceland.

peachgreen · 30/05/2018 22:15

Zaps were the BEST - I think you can still get them in Iceland but I'm scared to try them. I am also intrigued by these coconut Magnums @Lilacwine1 - they sound amazing!

@Cantusethatname I can sadly testify that Butterscotch Angel Delight is not as good as it used to be. Sad

PeppermintPasty · 30/05/2018 22:16

Oh my god @QOD I think I do! They were great. Am I imagining this or did they have a sort of dark red jelly middle? I loved a lolly like that, thought it was something to do with Dracula, but that label is ringing bells.

QOD · 30/05/2018 22:17

I don’t remember a jelly middle but creamy sweet deliciousness

But now I’m vaguely remembering a jelly middle in something?

AliasGrape · 30/05/2018 22:18

Caramacs were my treat from the vending machine after swimming every week. I bought one a few weeks back and it really wasn’t that nice, agree with the poster who said it has a plasticky texture now.

I’m still partial to a kitkat but could weep when I think of how much better the proper ones used to be.

Ice cream wise I’m a cornetto girl.

Binkybix · 30/05/2018 22:19

The elephant lolly with the jelly middle!!

PeppermintPasty · 30/05/2018 22:19

Here, here! I found it! Omg I love google sometimes.

GorgonLondon · 30/05/2018 22:19

@peppermint I had forgotten about Orange Maid! Yes, I loved them too. Sticky blue paper, wasp magnets and bloody delicious with it.

Hassled · 30/05/2018 22:20

I do remember Spangles - they really were the best. There's a reason people are still going on about Spangles years and years later.

SabineUndine · 30/05/2018 22:22

Currently got a thing for double raspberry magnums.

kyrenialady · 30/05/2018 22:23

Second the recommendation of the Asda version of Feast, lovely and chocolatey in the middle. Also they are selling toffee crumble lollies for £1. They have shrunk but still taste good.

LadyFuchsiaGroan · 30/05/2018 22:25

Does anyone remember a lolly similar to a vanilla mini milk with a chocolate flake inside? I used to buy them in the local garage late 80s early 90s.

TheExtraGuineaPig · 30/05/2018 22:26

In Australia they have an ice cream just like (maybe exactly the same as) a Toffee Crumble called a Golden Gaytime. It’s really popular, almost iconic. I really wish I had one now!

Davros · 30/05/2018 22:28

Mmmm spangles, Opal Fruits, Butterkist

ThomasHardyPerennial · 30/05/2018 22:31

Sainsbury's own brand version of butterscotch Angel Delight tastes better than the real stuff.

MipMipMip · 30/05/2018 22:32

Does anyone know where you can get Sun Lollys? Jubblies just aren't the same. Netto did them and I got all excited but then Netto closed.Sad

speakingwoman · 30/05/2018 22:33

Ooh, Feast!

I have a feast-related 90minute appointment at the dentist next week....
