Parking one - a CF in BOTH our spaces

HighwayDragon1 · 30/05/2018 11:21

So we have two allocated parking spaces, we pay a premium for them. Someone has parked over both spaces, literally in the middle. I've blocked them in Grin

Waiting for the doorbell to ring. I might go out.

Continuing the off topic / placemarking theme, I can't watch a thread from the app (android). I can bookmark but then I'm screwed if I can't find the thread itself at a later date!

So.... shamelessly placemarking :-)

UserV · 30/05/2018 12:45

Thanks Dragon! (For the update.)

Sad that the thread is done now though. Sad

Ickyockycocky · 30/05/2018 12:46

Update required 🤓

Happycow · 30/05/2018 12:47

I take it all back..... Just educated myself 🤪

3333hh44 · 30/05/2018 12:47

You don't go back to your bookmarks. When you next click o the thread it will take you straight to the post you bookmarked.

Mine doesn't.

a great update op. Did you manage a little tinkly laugh?

Ataloss2567 · 30/05/2018 12:47

I’ve enjoyed this so much as a welcome distraction I’ve started a new CF NDN thread if anyone would like to partake :) I love a CF story 🙈 shameless

Loonoon · 30/05/2018 12:48

What is with EAs and parking. We live in a road with automatic gates at the bottom and then a 200 yard uphill drive before you turn off to the houses. Each house has a drive that takes 1/2/3 cars plus loads of room to park on the road outside each house. We were the first family to move into the road and the estate agents were doing loads of escorted viewings of the empty properties. One particular asshole used to park in the yellow junction box in front of the gates and walk his clients up to the houses. While he was parked there the gates couldn't open or close so we were constantly locked in or out of the road. And more importantly nor could any emergency service vehicle. Eventually after a particularly heated altercation with him I complained to his boss and I never saw him again. Parking wanker.

SchadenfreudePersonified · 30/05/2018 12:48

Well done Jaina!

Are you any relation to Mrs Jollyperhaps?

The same sterling blood flows through your veins.

BreakfastAtSquiffanys · 30/05/2018 12:48

I do like the correcting her use of Space to Spaces

Therewere5inthebed · 30/05/2018 12:49

Please update OP..
I’m far too over invested in this and need to know what’s going on.

not placemarking have bookmarked, honestly

KitKat1985 · 30/05/2018 12:49

Ahh well done OP for making her apologise.

Sad the thread is done now though. Sad

DontCallMeCharlotte · 30/05/2018 12:49

Hmm. Anyone else got a sense of anti-climax now it's all been resolved so nicely and without the need for rugby teams?

Ickyockycocky · 30/05/2018 12:50

Thanks for the update, x post.

cjt110 · 30/05/2018 12:50

She fucking well knew it. All that is BS. She sounds like a snivveller....

Therewere5inthebed · 30/05/2018 12:50

Bugger.. my post took ages to post. 🙄

bigbluebus · 30/05/2018 12:51

Just wanted to say that an estate agent and a photographer visited my NDN this morning and they both parked down the road not blocking anyone in! Clearly we have a better class of estate agent around these parts Grin

SchadenfreudePersonified · 30/05/2018 12:51

they might be able to do a billion point turn

Aaaah! 1/18th of mm at a time!

If they try, please video their efforts for our delight!

krustykittens · 30/05/2018 12:52

Does anyone else think the thread title sounds positively Shakesperian (a pox on both your houses)? I think this should become an MN curse - may you have a cheeky fucker in BOTH your spaces!

I'll get my coat...

Myotherusernameisbest · 30/05/2018 12:53

Thanks for the update. She is a total liar though I think. Why not come to your door first before ringing her boss to tell them she'd be late? If she'd knocked and you'd moved it she might not be late. So that part isn't logical.

Can't also believe her boss didn't just say to her, well go and knock and ask them to move instead of ringing your agent to ask them to ask you to move the car which surely would have taken more time.

Something doesn't make sense, and I'd therefore take her 'I couldn't fit on the drive' thing as a load of crap. That also doesnt account for her taking 2 spaces! Lets hope she has learnt her lesson.

ICantCopeAnymore · 30/05/2018 12:55

You don't go back to your bookmarks. When you next click o the thread it will take you straight to the post you bookmarked

Mine didn't!

Giraffeslikethesun · 30/05/2018 12:55

Hah awesome

Zaphodsotherhead · 30/05/2018 12:56

Just joining in here to thank @Flowerpot for educating me into what the 'I'm on' button did! I am so happy now!

Ahem. Next time this happens, OP, I can vouch for opening the door, staring the culprit directly in the eye and saying 'I'm not in' before firmly closing the door again.

The confusion it creates is phenominal.

MsHomeSlice · 30/05/2018 12:59

oh i'd have made her squirm lots more, you are too kind OP

asked her which space, and how she knew it was mine, and then asked why she thought it appropriate to park in a clearly designated space

questioned her ability to drive and park as she has taken up TWO spaces in one of the smallest cars on the market, and wondered why on earth she thought it would be impossible to park her car on a spacious 3 car drive for the house she was visiting

I would have lectured her on self entitlement and her terrible attitude and cross examined her as to how she sees her future playing out should she dare to repeat her novelty parking approach.

AND I would never have offered to move my car, she would have had to ask me. Nicely.

But then I am really really mean.

3333hh44 · 30/05/2018 13:00

Zaph will you be shamelessly place marking from now on?

MsJolly · 30/05/2018 13:04
