Parking one - a CF in BOTH our spaces

So we have two allocated parking spaces, we pay a premium for them. Someone has parked over both spaces, literally in the middle. I've blocked them in

She's going to half an hour late for her next appointment.

You don't need the app to click watch. If you're on your phone there's a little down arrow near thread title which brings up options if you click it.

I was quite impressed with myself actually. Normally you think of good things to say after the event don’t you? She looked suitably embarrassed and apologised, I’m pleased to report. I moved my car with an appropriate level of eye rolling, door-slamming and huffing and puffing.

Plus if you watch the thread you have to remember what page you got to. If you write a comment you can click on your comment on the “I’m on” bit and it takes you to exactly where you read up to without having to scroll through pages and pages

Because you cannot see where you are up to on the thread if you don't post on it.

You're wrong. You can still 'bookmark' where you are even when you are only 'watching' the thread and have not posted on it.

Where did @booblemcb say anything bothered her? She just posted that she was curious as to why people didn't just click 'watch thread' instead of putting 'placemarking' on it.

And yeah, as a pp said, you CAN bookmark on a phone or tablet.

It's really NOT easier. It's much easier and quicker to just click on the bookmark than it is to post a message.

I don't bother with pages, I set my preferences so that its all one long thread, oldest at the bottom.

You don't go back to your bookmarks. When you next click o the thread it will take you straight to the post you bookmarked.

Her - sorry I couldn't get on the drive, I should have moved straight away I'm so sorry.
Me - the whole drive was taken??
Her - oh no, sorry it was at the front and I couldn't fit
Me - no, I couldn't fit on my drive either
Her - ..... No, I'm so sorry, really am sorry
Me - did you call my EA?
Her - no!! I rang my office to let them know I'd be late. I'm so sorry.
Me - do you want me to move my car?
Her - yes please, I'm sorry again.... Don't worry... I won't be back.

So she's gone. I believe that she didn't call my EA her boss did. She was also very apologetic. I wonder if she's an MNer?

You can see your own comment in a lovely colour and the ops in a lovely different colour. Much easier than scrolling down to see a tiny insignificant book mark icon.
