Parking one - a CF in BOTH our spaces

HighwayDragon1 · 30/05/2018 11:21

So we have two allocated parking spaces, we pay a premium for them. Someone has parked over both spaces, literally in the middle. I've blocked them in Grin

Waiting for the doorbell to ring. I might go out.

What a CF! shameless place marking!
Don't move the car, charge her like other PP's have said.
Loving this thread as I'll have no parking issues for the next few weeks since its half term so no parents to beep at for being parked in my spot!

CigarsofthePharoahs · 30/05/2018 12:24

Ooo CF parking thread. Lovely!

Purplehammer · 30/05/2018 12:25

When you do eventually go to her say.
“I know you have a very tiny car but did you really think you could squeeze it between two clearly marked parking spaces.”_

flowery · 30/05/2018 12:26

I had this with my space at work once. I was constantly getting blocked either in or out, one of the reasons I moved offices.

Woman knocked on my office door: “Are you the person who has blocked me in?”

Me: “I don’t know really, it depends. Are you the person who parked in my space?”

ThedementedPenguin · 30/05/2018 12:27

I love these parking threads.

Make her wait & do not move unless she comes and asks. Cheeky bitch

ReservoirDogs · 30/05/2018 12:27

flowery - you are awesome!

T1M2N3T4 · 30/05/2018 12:27

Go out and start cleaning your car in front of her

SadTrombone · 30/05/2018 12:28

So is she still just standing there?! 🍿

TitsalinaBumsquat · 30/05/2018 12:28

Ahh this makes me cringe a little bit st the thought of the confrontation, but a very good spectator sport! What will you say when she finally does knock on the door?

ManchesterGin · 30/05/2018 12:29

Keen to know how this one pans out! How long til she knocks? I reckon she’s tutting and sighing and calling you names on social media/messages!

DGRossetti · 30/05/2018 12:30

.

BoobleMcB · 30/05/2018 12:30

Why do people always comment that they're placemarking (shamelessly or otherwise)?

Do they not know that you can just click to watch the thread?

UserV · 30/05/2018 12:31

placemarking

UserV · 30/05/2018 12:32

Sorry, just kidding. I don't get why people don't just click 'watch thread' either.

OP, great thread!

Any more updates?

Flowerpotbicycle · 30/05/2018 12:32

@BobbleMcB because not everyone has the app Hmm Why are you letting it bother you?

StrugglingMumma · 30/05/2018 12:32

@BoobleMcB because doing that doesn't help with where you have read up too

TammySwansonTwo · 30/05/2018 12:32

You’re braver than I am - I hate confrontation too much!

ScreenQueen · 30/05/2018 12:32

Grin to spread a little cameraderie I assume, booble Grin

PeakPants · 30/05/2018 12:33

So how does she know who your estate agent is? Is she also an EA and works for the same company as yours?

Actually OP, I would go out there. Yes, she sounds like an idiot but I think the point has been made and that she probably won't do it again. There are worse things in life.

GladAllOver · 30/05/2018 12:33

Got to make another coffee, this one has gone cold...

ChevalierTialys · 30/05/2018 12:33

Place marking! LOVE a good parking thread!

UserV · 30/05/2018 12:33

@Strugglingmumma you're wrong. You can still 'bookmark' where you are even when you are only 'watching' the thread and have not posted on it.

Flowerpotbicycle · 30/05/2018 12:33

Plus if you watch the thread you have to remember what page you got to. If you write a comment you can click on your comment on the “I’m on” bit and it takes you to exactly where you read up to without having to scroll through pages and pages

SillyMoomin · 30/05/2018 12:34

To be fair @Flowerpotbicycle I can bookmark and watch thread using mobile view and on my laptop....

But anyway- yay EA war!

PandaPieForTea · 30/05/2018 12:34

We had the estate agent from 2 doors down park on the double yellows right in front of our garage door. Sadly for her we use our garage (hence the additional no parking signs) and it is one that opens with a button. The first I knew of her dodgy parking was when I opened the garage door to get my car out. It turns out that those doors do stop when they hit something, but only after scraping a fair bit of paint off.
