I wouldn't curtsy to ant of them tbh. She is apparently allowed to insist on this now.

UserV, you are hilarious, such venom.

I love when racists tell you they aren't being racist as if we are supposed to accept the word of a racist.

HappyLollipop · 22/05/2018 22:54

I like Meghan but I'd rather not curtesy but if it was requirement then I would exactly like if it was the Queen or any other senior royal.

concretesieve · 22/05/2018 22:56

I'd curtsey to Miss Annersley Grin

MrsTerryPratchett · 22/05/2018 22:57

Why thanks @MilkTwoSugarsThanks

It's fairly sexist that women are expected to curtsy TBH. Racist? Possibly for some. I actually quite like her and Harry. Still wouldn't curtsy to either of them.

I will to MilkTwoSugarsThanks though. Exception made.

happymummy12345 · 22/05/2018 22:57

I wouldn't. I hate the royal family though

LucilleBluth · 22/05/2018 22:57

Nothing racist about it...if he had married Gwyneth Paltrow one could say the same. It's an interesting topic. Bow to celebrity, bow to royalty.

I am curtsied to several times a day. (ballet teacher!!)

OwlDoll · 22/05/2018 22:58

I once had dinner with a Duchess at a charity/work do. Everyone else at the table called her Your Grace. I called her Sasha. She didn't seem to mind.

JennyJames · 22/05/2018 22:58

She is apparently allowed to insist on this now.

According to who, given that the Queen doesn’t insist on it?

UserV · 22/05/2018 22:59

@LucilleBluth Look in the fucking mirror HUN.

amber90 · 22/05/2018 22:59

Haha came in to post I'd never curtsey or bow to anyone but saw lots of you ladies had beat me to it. Good on you all!

RomeoBunny · 22/05/2018 22:59

I'd give Prince Philip a high five. That's about it.

AnnieAnoniMouser · 22/05/2018 22:59

I love our Royal Family.

...but I wouldn’t curtsy for any of them, the Queen purportedly doesn’t care! She & Philip would have been the only ones I’d have considered it for, any of the ones younger than that can forget it.

LucilleBluth · 22/05/2018 23:00

JennyJames, according to my gay celebrity forum.

UserV, point proven.

OP posts:
SuitedandBooted · 22/05/2018 23:00

Why would you? I met Princess Anne a couple of times years ago (horsey stuff), and it never even occurred to me to curtsy. Same goes for the rest of the RF. They are just people, who owe their status to an accident of birth.

HasAnyoneGotAProblemWithThat · 22/05/2018 23:01

The order of precedence was apparently changed because Princess Anne refused to curtsey to Camilla so if it’s good enough for Anne it’s good enough for me. Wasn’t there similar thread for ’Waity Katie’ when she married?

blackteasplease · 22/05/2018 23:01

I wouldn't curtsey to anyone.

Although I do wonder why this question is being asked specifically about Meghan.

JennyJames · 22/05/2018 23:02

JennyJames, according to my gay celebrity forum.

Alrighty then.

littlebillie · 22/05/2018 23:02

I met a royal and we politely shook hands, it was a formal occasion and a dignified gesture and acknowledgment.

BakedBeans47 · 22/05/2018 23:02

Nope. Not to Megan, Harry, William, Kate, the Queen or any of the RF for that matter.

UserV · 22/05/2018 23:02

Yeah point proven HUN, that YOU are full of venom. NOT ME.

birdsdestiny · 22/05/2018 23:02

I think I would just wait, if she curtsied first then it would only be polite to curtsy back.

BakedBeans47 · 22/05/2018 23:03

*Meghan

UpperWallop · 22/05/2018 23:03

Sequins - where do you imagine you might casually bump into MM other than at a formal event? Asda whoopsies? Ikea nursery section? Matalan underwear dept? 😆
