To be upset at being left alone every Sunday

DH cycles, every fucking Sunday. Leaves at 8 and arrives back between 2 and 4. Dcs are older teens with lives. My friends understandably spend Sunday’s with their family. I’m bored. I’m quite capable of entertaining myself and regularly do without a complaint, but it’s every fucking Sunday plus two evenings a week.

I’m really starting to resent it.

WIBU to ask for one Sunday a month to be cycle free?

@Huskylover1 yes I'm sure he's where he says he is. I'm not as paranoid as you.

If he wasn't at archery we'd both just be indoors doing the usual dinner and bath routine.

I agree with you that people do sometimes want to be with the person they married

Oh, that's good, then Hmm

SweetCheeks1980 · 21/05/2018 19:08

@Huskylover1 so what would you rather he do if "you wouldn't put up with that shit"?

LivingMyBestLife · 21/05/2018 19:43

When does he see the children, SweetCheeks because he seems to be out 3 nights a week, another afternoon and all day Sunday. 5 days out of 7.

Everyone is different but yes I wouldnt be happy with that or stay with a partner insisting that nothing changes. My husband does archery (like pp) but he knows that he can't do it 5-7times a week, that would be silly and would never had any time as a family. He does it once or twice a week at most and one whole Sunday once in a while. Whilst the kids are little that works for us. I try to fit a couple of evenings a week doing my things, when I can. In the past he used to do more and I used to get badminton 3times a week and other things. That was pre-kids lol now we prefer to enjoy some family time/spend time together and put the hobbies on the side.

God I could get so much done

@LivingMyBestLife they're not his children but he does see them every morning (he straightens one of dd's hair) as he takes them to school, and also picks them up. Then he'll be around Monday evening and all day Saturday.

He works from home too, so walks our dogs and then picks me up from work ( I work 3 days a week at a care home and two days trying to get my business up and running).
