Without being bitchy about actual physical attributes, who looked great and who didn't quite make the grade?

I thought the bride's mother's outfit was lovely. Amal Clooney's yellow dress looked fab. Pippa Middleton's dress was v pretty. I liked Victoria beckham's too. Some lovely hats here:

But Eugenie and Beatrice bless them both seem to have gone for quite unflattering dresses in my personal opinion. They are young, slim, pretty, have lovely shiny hair and have an unlimited budget - how do they manage to get the dresses wrong?!

For who ever asked what was on Elton’s glasses I thought it read Aviator.

Madbengalmum · 19/05/2018 19:58

Loved kitty's DG number and Chelsey daveys navy outfit.
I think Kate and Pippa were going for the middle aged drab look 😂

The80sweregreat · 19/05/2018 20:06

I love Meghan’s evening gown.

LokiBear · 19/05/2018 20:12

I thought every guest looked lovely. Kates very pale yellow jacket looked too pale imo and the dress underneath looked white. Just a no-no for me.

QueenOfTheAndals · 19/05/2018 20:14

Kitty Spencer has the most incredible complexion. I thought the photos of her were airbrushed but they're not!

The80sweregreat · 19/05/2018 20:15

Earl Spencer’s wife’s outfit was fab.

The Queen always looks fabulous.
The clothes are always the best bit.

scarbados · 19/05/2018 20:24

I love Abigail Spencer's navy polka dot outfit. The top of Kitty Spencer's dress is gorgeous as is her fascinator, but I wasn't keen on the skirt. It looked a bit 'folk dance costume' for my taste. But she doesn't walk very well in heels - very stompy!

dementedma · 19/05/2018 20:26

I thought the little flower girls and pages were spot on. The girls looked so sweet and not too fussy, and the pages very smart (and not in satin knickerbockers)

Cassimin · 19/05/2018 20:32

Serena Williams husbands trousers were very short!

BumpowderSneezeonAndSnot · 19/05/2018 20:49

I'm going to go against the majority and say I thought Beatrice and Eugenie looked lovely today. A bit frumpy but lovely nonetheless. Loved Beatrice's hair piece.

Lady Louise is so like the queen and seems to have her understated confidence and elegance too.

I agree about the usual suspects already mentioned on the thread too.

Rudgie47 · 19/05/2018 20:51

Fergie was the show stealer for me., the one from the Black Eyed Peas or Sarah ex wife of Andrew?

Please can someone who knows about fashion help Beatrice and Eugenie?.So many years of getting it wrong every time with their frocks.

By the way
James Blunt's wife's grandad was the duke of Wellington - she is more used to full on high society events than he is

Wdigin2this · 19/05/2018 21:57

It would have been a nice change, if Mrs Beckham had worn a smile, and a less funereal outfit!

UnderslungBowlingBall · 19/05/2018 22:15

I think Anne looked gorgeous, Oprah and the one in the long blue dress with polka dots. Also the lady with the magenta headwrap (Princess Mabereng Seeiso of Lesotho according to google).
However, Sarah Ferguson, Beatrice and Eugenie were all a bit shit, as was Posh if you ask me.

BalloonSlayer · 19/05/2018 22:23

Is silk crepe actual silk?

They were speculating on BBC this morning whether Stella McCartney would be the designer of the wedding dress. Then went on to say at how everything she does has to be cruelty-free (which I applaud of course). I thought to myself that I doubted that she would be the designer of the actual dress as that would rule out silk.

So is the silk crepe of the dress "designed by Stella McCartney and is a bespoke lily white high neck gown made of silk crepe." actually made of silk then?

diddl · 19/05/2018 22:28

Any pics of the evening wear anywhere?

condepetie · 19/05/2018 22:29

Carey Mulligan looked amazing, but she could wear a bin bag and look great.

The Queen's choice of colour was hideous. She's fond of the vile brights but highlighter green was... ugh. Doria wore a similar but less neon colour and looked lovely.

Beatrice's dress was lovely, Eugenie's hideous.

I loved the colour of Kitty Spencer's outfit.

MrsJayy · 19/05/2018 22:29

I loved Sarah Fergusons out and whole demeanour she bounced down to the chapel smiling and looking just lovely.

MrsJayy · 19/05/2018 22:30

SirVixofVixHall · 19/05/2018 22:47

Balloon- they may mean satin backed crepe, which could be made out of silk, or out of other fibres. If it is silk crepe, then that would be actual silk.

SirVixofVixHall · 19/05/2018 22:52

I agree that Beatrice’s dress was lovely, but Eugenie’s didn’t suit her. I didn’t madly like that pale sage green on Doria though, I thought it washed her out. The bounciness of Sarah Fergusson was always endearing, she is good fun I imagine. Kitty Spencer’s green outfit was beautiful. Her mother looked so frail, I was shocked.
Love Meghan’s evening dress. The pair of them looked fab zooming off in the car.

butidontwannausemyhead · 19/05/2018 22:53

Abigail Spencer (Scotty from Suits) in the navy spotty number with the white collar looked amazing.

MrsJayy · 19/05/2018 22:55

Have I missed evening outfits ?

ChishandFips33 · 19/05/2018 22:56

Kitty Spencer's orange shoes were fab with that dress
