Royal wedding outfits (because they are the best bit!)

Without being bitchy about actual physical attributes, who looked great and who didn't quite make the grade?

I thought the bride's mother's outfit was lovely. Amal Clooney's yellow dress looked fab. Pippa Middleton's dress was v pretty. I liked Victoria beckham's too. Some lovely hats here:

But Eugenie and Beatrice bless them both seem to have gone for quite unflattering dresses in my personal opinion. They are young, slim, pretty, have lovely shiny hair and have an unlimited budget - how do they manage to get the dresses wrong?!

My favourite was Gina Torres. Stunning. Love the hat. But then I love her character's clothes in suits too.

James Blunt's wife Sofia was close 2nd but those bloody shoes are soooo wrong with that dress.

Lady Kitty Spencer from waist up. Vintage chic. Fabulous colour on her.
Waist down that print is hideous. If the dress had been plain would've been much nicer.

Amal looked lovely. Wish George had worn a more fitted suit instead though.

Eugenie looked like a vintage air hostess.

Beatrice. WTAF was she thinking?!

No idea why people love Pippa's dress. It's far, far too old for her, the colour is draining and the unfortunate placement of the print with those two flowers right on the nipples. Just no.

Doria looked lovely.

Loved Amal, Carey Mulligan, Kitty Spencer (great neckline) and some of the Suits actresses, James Corden's wife, Serena.

Doria looked lovely and like a very lovely person too, and I'm so pleased she kept the nose stud and had her normal hair. That's where Meghan gets her strength from.

Didn't like Eugenie (looks like something you wear to the office, really ordinary), or Pippa's dress.

James Middleton looked very hot, as did Idris.

I like the brunette with navy polka dot dress with a white collar (and perfect shade of lipstick). Amal Clooney definitely was the best dressed.

Thought Carey Mulligan looked very pale and almost unwell, but lovely dress.

I would have liked to see Lady Louise in something a bit younger, but 14 is such a difficult age to dress right.

I was a bit disappointed with Gina Torres' dress. She wears such stunning clothes in Suits I expected more

Amal looked super stylish as she always does, and Serena Williams dress was gorgeous too. Really liked the lady from suits who was sat next to Serena outfit the vintage navy spotty dress

James Blunts wife had a fab dress but awful shoes that didn't go at all.

Princess' Beatrice and Eugenie never get it right in my opinion they are both always in such unflattering outfits which is such a shame. Not a fan of Pippa Middleton's dress either.

I like the polka dot dress and Serena looked awesome! and I loved the flower girl dresses. There was a guest (who I didn't recognise) with a deep green dress with open shoulders which was also stunning.
As for Victoria Beckham, I just couldn't get past her miserable face and felt that (and the dark colour) looked more suitable for a funeral than a wedding.

Did Kate wear the same thing she wore to Charlotte's christening though? Nothing wrong with recycling but for a wedding?

I liked Charlotte Riley’s dress and hat.

I also saw someone in a very chic 40s blush number, but they were sitting in the section behind the musicians and they didn't return to them after the royals had come in.

Lady Jane Fellowes - Harry's aunt - looked very stylish in silver/grey doing the reading. (and a poignant reminder of just how old Diana would have been)

Abigail Spencer (Suits, Timeless, Grey's) was in the polka dot dress with the white collar and looked stunning. She always looks beautiful in Timeless too.

@MessyMeTarr I always think Abigail Spencer has a look of Katharine Hepburn about her. She gets to wear some amazing outfits on Timeless!

Without a doubt James Blunt's wife and Amal Clooney stole the show. I liked Victoria Beckham's outfit too.

No it was a different but samey outfit for Charlottes christening I am not sure who dresses Kate but they have to get away from samey samey Lemon/white outfits.

I assume Kate didn't want to be accused of trying to upstage the bride. I remember Diana wearing a hideous polka dot outfit to Fergie's wedding, probably for the same reason.

I loved Kitty Spencer's Dolce &Gabbana green dress, it was beautiful and probably my favourite guest's outfit. I also loved the blue polka dot dress and the hat that went with it was just perfect. I love a forties style. Meghan's mother Dora Ragland got the mother of the bride outfit just right and she looked really beautiful.

Hard to say on most of the dresses etc as I find most wedding guest outfits a bit meh. I didn't really like Amal Clooney's dress, but the hat was lovely. I liked Serena William's dress but not the mad fascinator on her head, but then I don't like fascinators, so I was never going to like it. She looked stunning. Oh and the Countess of Wessex looked just lovely. I'm sure there were other dresses/outfits I liked, but I can't remember them.

Kate, Carol Middleton, Camilla, Pippa, Autumn, James Blunt’s wife, Kitty all looked great.

Eugenie looked like a midwife.
Idris Elba’s missus looked weird for the occasion.

Kitty Spencer, Amal Clooney and Carey Mulligan were the standouts for me.

I think there were two dressesthe same (the horror!!). One of the Suits actresses was in a tassle capped dress, then I think someone came in later with the same dress in a different colour.

We need pictures of all the guests as I don't know who's who!!

Not a fan of Pippa's dress.

My two faves were Sophie Wessex and Cressida Bonas.

Amal...hmm, stylish but I just don't like mustardy yellow. Too try hard for me.
