Jeez - trying not to get involved in royal wedding chaos - but this is such a no brainer! Surely her Mum should give her away? Or are they all racist misogynistic traditionalists?

With many many millions of people watching this wedding live world wide you wouldn't need to be shy to find this daunting.

I doubt there was time to reherse her mother sufficiently, Charles is experienced, knows all the protocol, how to respond if something goes wrong etc. It had to be a senior Royal for a last minute stand in or senior millitary.

That said the same applies to the Father who should have been here a couple of weeks ago for rehearsals, suit fittings, meeting the family etc. I suspect this has been a solid Plan B, if not Plan A all along. Michael Middleton did OK at Westminster but would have been very well trained.

I hope you are all over yourselves now Grin

The mother will walk her to the chapel, MM will walk half way alone, and PoW will accompany her the rest of the way.

Surely that suits everyone not that MM will give a toss what a load of armchair pundits think

She looks terrified and jet lagged, poor woman.

I thought it went very well. Charles came across as a real gentleman, and there was no hint of 'giving her away'. He simply walked with her and once they got to the top of the aisle it was about Harry and Meghan as an equal couple.
