Jeez - trying not to get involved in royal wedding chaos - but this is such a no brainer! Surely her Mum should give her away? Or are they all racist misogynistic traditionalists?

I think whoever is in charge of things has decided it won't be too long before Charles is king (sorry Liz!) and this is an ideal opportunity to show him as a Jolly Good Sort and increase his popularity.

I have never been to Windsor or the castle but it does look stunning on the tv and the weather is being good for a change too.

I really believe Harry is a force to be reckoned with - and William, I do not doubt personally if Megan was desperate for her mum to walk her - if her mum was desperate to walk her NO ONE would have stopped them!

I believe for some reason they didn't want that so charles is stepping in.

Going onto a set doing familiar things is one thing - but walking down an aisle at a royal wedding televised - projected into history is really another. I think its an excellent choice and PC will be calm and adept at his role. I think its really sweet.

And to be fair, she's walking most of it herself, Charles is just meeting her at the bit where the chequered floor starts and walking her to the alter . It seems a nice gesture.

If she had got her mum to do it people would have been screaming oh he poor mother, the pressure she must feel why didn't she get someone else.

For some, there is nothing this woman can do that they will accept. Simply nothing.

In some way they are even blaming her for not having a more "appropriate" family, it's very sad. I'm fairly sure tomorrow there will be a bunch of threads slagging her off, from her dress, to her veil, to the look on her face to the way she walked, to how she said her vows.
