AIBU to think that anyone who hears Laurel is playing a practical joke? It's definitely yanny!

Love that Brainstorm/Green needle one, I can make myself hear them both interchangeably by thinking about one, then the other. Fascinating!

Although I'm starting to wonder how much of what I think I can see/hear in my daily life is actually real......!

Husband - 51 laurel
Daughter - 13 laurel
Son - 11 laurel but also hears yanny

They think I'm winding them up but I cannot hear anything remotely sounding like laurel!

DH hears Yarry also, DS and his girlfriend both hear Laurel.

Definitely Laurel for me.

I can only hear Laurel. Not even a hint of a 'Y' sound!

That page with the slider is fascinating - if I slid it down to the laurel end I heard Yanny for a few times and then suddenly laurel! And then it seemed to flit between. I had to stop as I'm pissing DH right off with it!

I listened to a video on my phone and I heard Laurel, I thought, how the hell can anyone hear yanny 🙄
Then i heard another video on my tablet and I could clearly hear yanny 😮

First couple of times I heard yanny in a weird American accent. Now I only hear laurel.

People who can hear hear high frequencies hear yanny but they might also hear laurel. People who cannot hear high frequencies hear laurel.

We've tried it on our whole family and grandparents! DH & DD were the only ones to hear Laurel (the true word) and me, DS, his friend and both my parents hear Yanny. Bizarre!

This morning I heard Yanny but now I hear Laurel!

Okay its clearly dodgy as I hear Yanny on one Mac and Laurel (in a much lower tone) on the other.

I heard Yanny all day but after just covering my ears with my fingers as suggested earlier I heard Laurel clear as day. Actually jumped when I heard it
