Me and DD(20) hear Laurel; DD(8) hears Yammy, and DD(12) hears "Laurel in a deep, man's voice and Yanny in a high alien voice at the same time"

Yesterday listening to car radio heard Yanny. Today on iPad heard Laurel.

Actually, I was thinking yesterday that it would be quite a good plot for a film/book. Satan comes back to earth in the form of an audio clip that millions of people listen to repeatedly and become possessed.

Or some kind of mind control thing.

Or machines rising up and taking over the world.

By people thinking they are innocently listening to nothing more than Yanny/Laurel (which is actually an acronym for armageddon or something!)

How are people hearing Yanny?! Definitely Laurel, no question.

I can hear both - Yanny is a higher pitched muppet sort of voice and Laurel is in a ‘ coming soon to a cinema near you voice’
You just need to separate them. Yanny starts before Laurel.

I've listened a few times and was firmly in the Laurel camp, but last night I tried holding my phone at arm's length and finally heard Yanny. I should really get a life...

I've heard both now. Hearing a loud, clear 'Laurel' after so many 'Yanny' was odd!!

GreatDuckCookery yes DH and I both listened to it together on my phone, he heard Laurel and I heard Yanny. We then managed to swap!

GreatDuckCookery Yes, my daughter (27) played it on her laptop and my husband and I (71 and 64) both heard Yanni but she heard Laurel.

Right it was Yanny on the Radio-on same device but the clip is Laurel.

I hear both! The Yanny first then laurel after a bit. The Laurel voice seemed a lot lower pitched and quieter than the Yanny so it took it a while to come - like a magic eye picture. If I didn’t know I was listening for it I might not have heard it though

Yesterday definately Laurel (on the PC) This morning when they played it on Good Morning Britain - it was Yianni
