Irony alert: Meghan Markle’s Dad

Sorry, found this hilarious. Meghan Markle’s Dad has staged some pics with the paparizzo to send out a message re his DDs wedding (ie he is going).

This is being reported by the press in a vv ‘tut tut aren’t her family awful’ manner.

Am I alone in finding this hilariously hypocritical? I remember St Diana getting caught in a car with Richard Kay from the Daily Mail and she wrote a book secretly with Daily Express journalist Andrew Morton.

Plus who had those pics front page the day they were taken? That’s right. The Daily Mail!

I am not a Meghan fan at all. But I got up this morning and looked at the papers and felt like I had gone done a rabbit hole when I saw her Das being slated for this supposedly ‘unroyal’ behaviour which is actually the most royal thing in the world ever.

I guess her dad is pretty broke, so I don't blame him for making some easy cash at the Daily Mail's expense.

I was suspicious about the suit and internet cafe. It didn't seem likely to be real.

Apparently her Dad is a lottery wonder and comfortably off. I though being measured for a suit and browsing the web in public was a rather odd, posed, public airing of dirty laundry.

But....nobody in the RF has ever done that sort of thing before no,no,no,no,no.

According to gossip he didn’t get the lottery money somehow a friend went to collect it for him and kept it. Not sure but he ended up ripped off all very odd. Whole family of con artists.

Of course the Mail are hypocrites. No question.

But you do realise that Kensington Palace have been sending out letters to the press, on Mr Markle’s behalf, telling paps to leave him alone as he wants to guard his privacy? A complaint has also been made to IPSO claiming press harrassment of him.

If it weren’t for that I would think, “Why not? They are going to take photos so he may as well benefit too” - but he’s been revealed as a liar, basically.

I bet he won’t be at the wedding now.

In any event, I do wonder why he is trying to make money in such a horrible way when his “multi-millionaire” daughter is living in a palace about to marry a prince in a dress costing upwards of £100k.

The whole thing stinks.

I just feel sorry for Meghan. The buildup to the wedding must be stressful enough without this

I have no sympathy for any of them.

I find it hard to believe he'd be living in Mexico if he was well off.

This is the very definition of first world problems.

It's all a bit embarrassing for Meghan and the RF. You can't claim harassment by the press then sell pictures to them. The actual pics are so obviously fake, no wonder the Daily Fail are digging.

On Saturday this normal American bloke is going to be walking his daughter down the aisle, he's going to watch her marry into an ancient institution that needs us all to believe that's its above us, traditional, authoritative for it to maintain its reason to exist......MMs dad just shows it up for what it is...a load of shite.

If she’d taken him into the fold properly rather than leave him to his own devices and high and dry without financial support or proper advice this wouldn’t have happened.

I cringe every time I see Meghan's family mentioned in the papers. I don't think either her or her family come particularly well out of the whole shenanigans.

So do we think he'll be at the wedding, or just her mother?

I am more shocked that any of you believe the Daily Fail's version, the tabloid that has been full of stories about Meghan that are peppered with racist undertones, taking swipe at her humble background (read Saturday's paper).!!!

As far as I know, MNrs are usually unanimous in condemning the garbage stories that usually come of his rag, why the sudden change?

And let's say he participated, how do we know what his motives were? So they can leave him alone, maybe?

And what if the journalist ran the whole sting? Of course, KP will not comment (bad timing), and so you have to ask yourselves, why drop this now on the eve of the nuptials?

I'm wondering if Mr M thought if he let the paps take some photos of him they would leave him alone afterwards. However it seems to have backfired.Was the money paid to him or the paps selling the pictures to other agencies? I do feel sorry for him, just trying to live a quiet life.

Good for him, he knows he will be hunted by the paps, he might as well make a few bucks out of it.

Do people really believe all the pics of the Middleton family are candid shots? That a paps just happens to walk past Pippa on her bike or Carole shopping?

Max Clifford might have been a questionable character, but his insight on the job he was really good at was very interesting.

Markle worked in Hollywood, he must know how this works. I for one don't believe he's dumb.

Remember he denied being invited to the wedding and the same paper ran with it?!

It's causing her embarrassment in the run-up to her wedding. A good parent wouldn't do that.

The Mail are only pissed because they've swallowed these shots hook, line and sinker.

They've run every single one of those photos as gospel, whilst also making snide remarks about Mr Markle's financial status vs that of his daughter.

The one of him getting measured up for a suit in a strip mall shop, which is actually a party supplies shop is particularly funny.

The only problem now is they'll see this trick as an excuse to go even lower.

And then there was the article showing all of MM's "exes".
It turns out that with one of them she had just had one meal.
