Irony alert: Meghan Markle’s Dad

Sorry, found this hilarious. Meghan Markle’s Dad has staged some pics with the paparizzo to send out a message re his DDs wedding (ie he is going).

This is being reported by the press in a vv ‘tut tut aren’t her family awful’ manner.

Am I alone in finding this hilariously hypocritical? I remember St Diana getting caught in a car with Richard Kay from the Daily Mail and she wrote a book secretly with Daily Express journalist Andrew Morton.

Plus who had those pics front page the day they were taken? That’s right. The Daily Mail!

I am not a Meghan fan at all. But I got up this morning and looked at the papers and felt like I had gone done a rabbit hole when I saw her Das being slated for this supposedly ‘unroyal’ behaviour which is actually the most royal thing in the world ever.

what sort of family is this??
a family who thought the royals had the same sense of humour, after coming up with gems like "Prince Georges, future King of England, address: Kensington Palace is being raised like any normal little boy and having a standard childhood"

well, if the Royal Family has never been embarrassed by the many photos of Kate's bare bum during official engagements, I can't see how the few pics of Meghan's dad doing.. nothing.. can bother anyone. I think it's pretty funny, and Mr Markle shouldn't bother justifying himself anymore than any of the Royals does.

Sophie Wessex survived her PR disasters beautifully and there was a lot more to frown upon there.

Nude pictures or upskirt pictures of Kate have been taken without her consent or knowledge. Unless you think she took a cut of the fee from those photos??

Meghan's dad sold himself and his link to the royals.

She is from the us and have no culture of royal families I think most in the uk would have a. Fair idea how one would be expected to behave but sadly their president is a former reaility star and that’s the highest person in the us so they would he. No clue

If that was my father doing it, using my name and position to do questionable deals with the press, I would have been extremely pissed off with him.

being on official visits surrounded by photographers, the photos were not taken without her knowledge, or her consent! It would be like pretending that Abbey Clancy's photos at the Bafta have been taken without her knowledge.

You would have to be pretty thick not to think about photographers on the very first official event, but on the following ones? The outfit were carefully chosen for each occasion... pure class.

Why do you think the official photo of Kate, her husband, their baby and their dog were taken by her own father? Who do you think own the rights to these pics?

I must say none of it does bodes well, and it's just the start. If I were MMs' mother I'd be begging her to wake up and reconsider. But I think she's a very ambitious girl and I agree that not being from the UK, or even elsewhere in Europe where there are other RF she will flail. At the mo all the spotlight is on her, but what will happen when she becomes just another Royal Wife and no longer a novelty? All that independent, go getter, all American strong woman mindset they get inculcated with. I am sceptical about the word longevity having any sticking power. Oh well, shall make for interesting times I suppose.

MM hasn’t got a step family they are her half brothers and sisters ie her blood relations.

I don’t see why she has invited no one from her family when she has been happy to use their connections in the past.

Do we know that for sure? Maybe there are cousins or Aunts wirh invites no one is aware of. I can only speak for myself here, but being black, I would find it all a tad bit intimidating. I'm sure MM mother is a strong woman whose been through some tougher times than I have in that respect, but I would hope MM would have other relatives representing from her mums side there, ie relatives of colour, especially if some of those she'll be hobnobbing with are like PM. I would take a dim view if she doesn't.

I cannot think of another situation in present RF history where indiscretions were common knowledge BEFORE an RF wedding.
MM should feel ashamed of all the stuff that is out there already.

While I agree, I'm not sure how many relatives she has on her mum's side ... though admittedly that might be because they've kept much quieter than her dad's side

Anyway I thought rellies had gone largely uninvited in favour of recent friends?
