To ban this man from my cafe?

Have NC as I've spoken to people in RL about this.

I promise I'm not the poo troll.

There's a man that's been coming in to my cafe every morning for a few weeks now.

He orders a coffee and sits doing work on his laptop at 8.30 when I open up.

Every FUCKING DAY he does a massive shit in the toilet and leaves a mess everywhere. It's utterly disgusting and I obviously have to deal with it. I'm normally there on my own as I don't get many customers at that time of day, but today a lovely woman was in with her baby and went to use the toilet after him.

She obviously didn't use it and I had to profusely apologise. He was the only other person there so it was obviously him. He could hear me talking to her and just sat there, not an ounce of embarrassment. I'm actually getting really anxious about this now and I don't know what to do. It's horrible. It's a horrible way to have to start my day, every day.

I want to ban him but I'm too "nice" and REALLY don't want the confrontation. It feels so awkward.

Help! I don't know what to do.

Urgh. He needs to do it at home! Why on earth would you do that out the house! Especially if you knew what time it was and didn’t have to be in work!

And yes - keep the sign handy and if he comes back in, just put the sign up right away. Doesn't matter how obvious it is.

Haha yes I actually have kept the sign just in case! He'll definitely have moved on to somewhere else I think, I do feel for them.

YANBU. You have the right to refuse to serve anyone- if it was meant cafe I wouldn’t allow him in again. It’s unpleasant for you and you deserve better.

He must have known you were on to him as soon as you put the sign up. I bet it's happened before and he just moves from cafe to cafe until they get fed up of him!

And if that is the case then he must know what he's doing. Disgusting!!

How about a sign in there saying "I know who you are. You leave a mess every time you come in here. If you don't clean up after yourself, you can't use the facilities."

He's probably on his holidays.
