to want a normal full fat fecking yogurt?!

Why is every bloody yogurt in the supermarket 'low fat' or 'zero fat' or 'lite' or '0%'. Or contains gellatine, added cream Hmm thickening agents or some other bollocks?!

I just want a normal fruit yogurt that is full fat (so high protein low sugars) without so much crap added, and that doesn't cost £2.75 a spoonful and have guava and the gold encrusted tears of vegans in the title.

Just a traditional old school flipping yogurt.

My nearest Waitrose is 30 miles away. Tesco are crap. Asda are crap. My local Sainsburys are crap. My Aldi ones had cream added!

I might brave M&S later but I'm pretty sure my last ones from there had cream added too, but they may have been the gooseberry fools Blush

Where can I get some? I long for the days of a basic small pot and a foil lid and a cow print on the tab.

Agree can’t stand low fat yoghurt packed with sugar. There must be a demand for it from people who’s diet advice is from the 80s. I get a big tub of plain normal yoghurt and jazz it up by adding a teaspoon of jam or lemon curd. Much healthier.

I get yeovalley organic for that reason, proper yogurt. I don't understand why so much food has to be messed with, it's getting ridiculous.

ive never had any problem getting greek yoghurt, thick and creamy yoghurts, normal activia yoghurts, fruit corners. Theyre all full fat.

Get a simple yoghurt maker, make with full fat milk, then add your own fruit.

Yoghurt is by definition a low fat food, thats why it says 'low fat'on the container. Some are lower fat than others, just check the list of ingredients.

Branleuse they're also packed with sugar. I don't want plain greek yogurt. I dont want to make my own. I dont want any of the activia bollocks either.

I want an old school blackcurrant yogurt like we used to get as kids. Just 'proper' fruit yogurt.

I got so sick of it I make my own.

Not all the time but every now and then and a big batch (a litre or 2) costs little more than the litre of milk.

So so easy and yum

Buy a Yeo Valley and make a new batch of your own from that with full fat milk. Or just keep on with those delicious gooseberry fools Smile

@noeffingidea No, it's not. Yogurt from full fat milk is full fat yogurt and is higher in protein and lower in sugars. A yogurt should just contain yogurt and fruit. No other added junk apart from maybe a stabiliser.

For the recors I'd made my own. I do still make my own. I'm just bored to death of it. My instantpot now gives me yogurt making nightmares.

Yes I also get the Yeo Valley ones, the fruit ones and the natural, they do a Greek one too. Look out for a brand called Longley Farm too, I don't think many places stock it but their products are old school made with 'proper' ingredients, I recently discovered that our village shop sells their cottage cheese as I was sick of the low fat versions of that too.

There's a 29p one from Lidl which is full fat and tasty. Doesn't have the horrible fake sweet taste of low fat ones.

I can recommend longley farm brand too. They are full fat yoghurt, fruit and some sugar, really creamy and a bit tart - delicious. They are a Yorkshire company but I think they are available countrywide. I can get them at Morrison's.

I was just about to recommend Longley Farm! They’re lovely. And they do a blackcurrant one.
