to want a normal full fat fecking yogurt?!

Why is every bloody yogurt in the supermarket 'low fat' or 'zero fat' or 'lite' or '0%'. Or contains gellatine, added cream Hmm thickening agents or some other bollocks?!

I just want a normal fruit yogurt that is full fat (so high protein low sugars) without so much crap added, and that doesn't cost £2.75 a spoonful and have guava and the gold encrusted tears of vegans in the title.

Just a traditional old school flipping yogurt.

My nearest Waitrose is 30 miles away. Tesco are crap. Asda are crap. My local Sainsburys are crap. My Aldi ones had cream added!

I might brave M&S later but I'm pretty sure my last ones from there had cream added too, but they may have been the gooseberry fools Blush

Where can I get some? I long for the days of a basic small pot and a foil lid and a cow print on the tab.

I'm late to the party but posting in the hope the yogurt Gods are making notes.

Low fat yogurt is the devil's work. It is funny and sugary and bleurgh and I do not want it!

ASDA own Greek style honey is satisfyingly thick and I very much like the new Muller plain range and black cherry Greek style corners. Collective dairy is good too.

Longley Farm here too, my husband and children love them.

ratspeaker · 05/05/2018 22:01

Lancashire Farms yoghurt in Morrisons.
Full fat Greek style is good.
Huge tub

Our local shop seems to put it near the lassi and ethnic foods for some reason.

DairyisClosed · 05/05/2018 22:04

YeoValley is the one you want. Just fruit and yoghurt. Heart logo. Most supermarkets have it.

ToadOfSadness · 05/05/2018 22:04

@mytittifersungtheirsong - lemon turd wasn't a typo BTW Wink

Many years ago Loseley made a really nice lemon yogurt, sharp and actually lemony, not a hint of turd. I miss those.

Sprinklesinmyelbow · 05/05/2018 22:06

fat free or 0% fat Greek yogurt is fine. It’s just been strained, like skimmed milk. I don’t quite understand why you’re struggling to find them- that’s all I eat and they’re everywhere!

oreosoreosoreos · 05/05/2018 22:08

I used to like Rachel's... until they sold out to Nestle!

I like Yeo valley

AthenaAshton · 05/05/2018 22:10

Another vote for Longley Farm (yes, the ones with a cow hopping around on the logo). I know you said your Waitrose is 30 miles away, but they are 35p there. Though they are, of course, available in other places too...

Same! I was so miffed when I found out nestle now own Rachel’s. I think they added cream too though.

QueenOfIce · 05/05/2018 22:17

Rachel's organic is full fat isn't it? Also M&S do full fat fruit yogurts.

cochineal7 · 05/05/2018 22:19

Our local Turkish-run corner store has a great one. Cheap and tastes like actual yoghurt. They have a 3.5% and a 10% version.

Babybearsporij · 05/05/2018 23:24

You are all mostly BU by typing "yogurt"! It's "yoghurt" in the UK!

I'll put my spelling nazi cap away now. Grin

I like Fage full fat with stuff added. Seems to be the only way now.

TittyGolightly · 06/05/2018 00:19

Rachel's organic is full fat isn't it?

Owned by Nestle. 😬

Purpletoes · 06/05/2018 00:29

Sainsburys do a set of 4 french set yoghurts own brand cheap and lovely. 4 flavours. But yes its very hard to find full fat yoghurts.
Irish yoghurts also have a 4 set full fat but they also have a low fat do you need to be careful which one you pick up.

YesILikeItToo · 06/05/2018 00:39

But French set is the devil’s work. Sad

lizzlebizzle33 · 06/05/2018 00:43

Yeo valley all the way! My kids love it too, sometimes put a bit of honey in or apple sauce for them.

lizzlebizzle33 · 06/05/2018 00:46

Or longley farm if you can find them, my local deli has loads of flavours of them but then I go in sainsburys and they just have hazelnut?? Who the fuck wants hazelnut yogurt?
