I change my sheets every week. My OH said his Mother changed hers about every four weeks. Just wondered how often MNs change theirs.

Aha!!! But how often do you change your MATTRESS??????

Yvest · 01/05/2018 22:50

Twice a day, morning and evening and sometimes at lunchtime Incase someone breathed in the vicinity

LuluMarie · 01/05/2018 22:54

PapaLazarousWife

True, but I air dry them, I recycle glass bottles and I drink green smoothies, so hopefully I balance out:)

VanillaSugar

Oh good Lord, I didn't think of that!

Voice0fReason · 01/05/2018 23:08

Who ACTUALLY cares what other people do?
Once a week, once a year - whatever!

QueenJane · 01/05/2018 23:16

Never.

My sheets haven’t been washed since 1993, and yes, they are the same ones. My Little Pony.

When they get a bit crispy I take them out and give them a shake.

afishnotabird · 01/05/2018 23:17

Can we cross reference sheet and pyjama changing because it seems in here that people are changing the bedding more often than their PJs

SpeckledDot · 01/05/2018 23:20

You only change the sheets? Gross. I buy a new bed every night

LuluMarie · 01/05/2018 23:23

Oh the humanity, I don't replace my bed every night!

My world is rocked, I'll have to order a new one now.

Can I go on holiday and just live in hotels? Or sleep on the beach? I promise to change my nightie ever night.

SneakyGremlins · 01/05/2018 23:27

Pffft, I move house daily so I sleep in a fresh room every night

Ilovesliz · 01/05/2018 23:38

I getup in the morning and I lick my sheets clean with my tongue.

Onlyoldontheoutside · 01/05/2018 23:38

My DD changes her bed every 2weeks and pillow cases maybe twice a week depending on spot situation.
I change when I think they need changing and and more n summer as I have reached that age when a sunny day is a good drying day so hate to waste it.
I am a naked sleeper and DD wears vest and pants
I think PJ's are a bit skanky and also tie myself in knots in a nighty.I will wear fluffy socks in winter as I hate cold feet.

Loonoon · 01/05/2018 23:45

Nowadays once or twice a week but when I was younger, more time pressed and had lower standards and no washing machine I could easily push it to six weeks. Just the thought of that makes me feel a bit sticky and slimy now but back then I thought nothing of it.

LuluMarie · 01/05/2018 23:49

If a tree falls in a forrest and there is no one around, can I change my sheets?

bananafish81 · 01/05/2018 23:49

Are the frequent sheet changers also naked sleepers? Cos it makes more sense to change your sheets much more frequently if your sheets are coming into contact with dead skin and sweat and other bodily fluids.

If your body is fully covered (and you're going to bed in clean PJs, then how dirty are your sheets realistically able to get in a week?!

FluffyPineapple · 02/05/2018 00:21

Well that depends on whether you heard the tree fall?? 😋

LuluMarie · 02/05/2018 00:55

FluffyPineapple

I wasn't listening, I was busy running a hot bath and changing my sheets!

Night night :)

Puffycat · 02/05/2018 00:59

Seriously 217 messages about fucking sheets 🙄
I’m depressed now

iwanttorunawayagain · 02/05/2018 01:23

I try to aim for once a fortnight but with working full time, no tumble drier and lack of space to store washing(clean dry clothes take precedence) it does slip, generally the better the weather( line drying) the more frequently they get changed and washed.

LuluMarie · 02/05/2018 01:30

Puffycat get some clean sheets on your bed, that'll sort you out.
