I change my sheets every week. My OH said his Mother changed hers about every four weeks. Just wondered how often MNs change theirs.

Oh and it's a cheap luxury if you don't mind the labour. Showering and then getting into fresh sheets is amazing.

DSHathawayGivesMeFannyGallops · 30/04/2018 22:33

I would aim for once a week but it really is my most hated and cumbersome job and once a fortnight just suits my routine atm. I flatshare so have to fight for wash and dry time and space, so once a fortnight just fits better atm and gives me longer to find time to iron them once they're dry. I'm fussy about ironing pillow & duvet cases.

Plus I only have 3 sets of bedding and don't really want to spend on more atm so I'd be a slave to x2/3 changes a week!

BlueSkyBurningBright · 30/04/2018 23:17

I change them every Sunday. The cleaner comes on Monday, so I make sure they are ready for her to iron.

bananafish81 · 30/04/2018 23:18

My indulgence is getting the bedding laundered and ironed - heaven. Utterly frivolous, but totally worth it Grin

e1y1 · 30/04/2018 23:25

On the hour, every hour.

You are so right. I don't have a grand home, it's quite humble and I'm saving to do it up.
But what I've got is a lovely clean fragrant bed - everything 100% white cotton - it's like sleeping in a giant marshmallow. My small spot of luxury.

VerbenaBorensis · 30/04/2018 23:28

Monthly cos its a waterbed and I get seasick!! Grin

VerbenaBorensis · 30/04/2018 23:30

Actually its weekly but find this thread funny! -just do what u wanna do! Smile

JiminyBillyBob · 30/04/2018 23:32

Every 45 seconds and anything else is just FILTH.

PickAChew · 30/04/2018 23:33

Every hour, on the hour.

notacooldad · 30/04/2018 23:33

Wednesdays and Sundays
The boys do theirs usually on a Thursday.

JaceLancs · 30/04/2018 23:34

Somewhere between once a week and once a month depending on how often it’s been slept in and by whom!!!
Sometimes I work away, sometimes I stay at DP, sometimes he stays at mine

BlondeB83 · 30/04/2018 23:35

Once a week when DH is away, twice when he is home.

JiminyBillyBob · 30/04/2018 23:39

00100001 - I am wheezing like Muttley over your post, trying not to wake DH 😁

Ski40 · 30/04/2018 23:47

I change the entire bed every weekend but DH has extra pillowcase changes as he sweats a lot and his sweat is sort of acidic and BURNS the fabric. 😮
Just for the record where I come from (Spain) we use sheets and blankets and I find it so much nicer than the duvets here in the UK. But DH insists in them so I make him change the duvet cover. 😁It drives me nuts and makes my arms hurt.

freckleface12 · 01/05/2018 00:04

Every 3 weeks but if me and dp are working opposite shifts (days and nights) I'll do it just before we go back to normal bedtimes, because the sheets have been slept in pretty much constantly. Halo

balsamicbarbara · 01/05/2018 00:12

Surely how often you have sex in that bed would have a big impact on this??

sadiekate · 01/05/2018 01:08

Every month. I have a bath every evening.

AntiHop · 01/05/2018 01:28

I live in a flat, I don't have a tumble dryer. Which means sheets have to be dried on clothes airers in the lounge. So consequently I don't change them that often.

FluffyPineapple · 01/05/2018 02:33

Does it matter how often total strangers change their sheets? Just change yours whenever you think they need changing

ItsalmostSummer · 01/05/2018 02:35

Yup, ever hour. The rest of you are just manky Grin

StylishMummy · 01/05/2018 02:48

Every Sunday

MrsDilber · 01/05/2018 03:16

About every two weeks, DH has a sweaty head, so I can change my pillow case nightly in the summer, it's really gross (I don't change his) but he's a clean freak. He can't help his sweaty head and he snuggles so it ends up on my pillow.

Tangfastics · 01/05/2018 03:39

I aim for every Sunday.

Aim being the operative word.

I have a super king silk duvet and it weighs a fucking tonne. I’m seriously considering changing to flat sheets and a blanket.

I do, however, hoover my bed every day Blush

SabineUndine · 01/05/2018 03:51

Every week. I thought this was usual. I love clean sheets and sleep better in them.
