I change my sheets every week. My OH said his Mother changed hers about every four weeks. Just wondered how often MNs change theirs.

Once a fortnight. More if required but that goes without saying.

my2bundles · 01/05/2018 13:31

Kids once a week, mine once a fortnight.

Queenoftheblitz · 01/05/2018 13:34

You mucky types who say you won't die from dirty sheets are right.
Neither would you die from wearing the same knickers for a week. But would you do it?

diodati · 01/05/2018 17:23

Wilding, can't you imagine how difficult it would be for a short person to change the sheets on a king size bed?🙄

TittyGolightly · 01/05/2018 17:51

I’m 5’10” and have to get inside the duvet cover of our super king to change it. 😂

abigailsnan · 01/05/2018 17:56

Sheets twice a week duvet cover once a week unless I have been lazy and not taken off makeup and need to change the pillow cases.

TittyGolightly · 01/05/2018 17:58

I wear pants for around 14 hours per day. If your bedsheets are getting the same contact with your bare genitals as that, something isn’t right.

bimbobaggins · 01/05/2018 18:00

You’re meant to change them? I just wait until they are that filthy and buy new onesWink

bananafish81 · 01/05/2018 18:01

I have a super king 13.5 tog all seasons duvet (two duvets buttoned together) that is a complete bastard to manoeuvre. I have to psyche myself up for changing the duvet cover!

isawahatonce · 01/05/2018 18:10

when I remember to, probably every 1-2 weeks
and, for the record, op, I've never seen this topic for a thread before and I've been around for a while, clearly anyone who doesn't read every single thread is a heathen Grin

There's hardly any of me in contact with the sheets! I wear clean knickers, PJs and socks every night so they're the ones getting sweaty / dirty - and changed daily.

It's more like wearing the same coat for a week than knickers - because there's a layer of clothing between it and my skin

I would happily wear my coat for a week, whilst changing my knickers daily

ALongHardWinter · 01/05/2018 18:21

Every half hour.

TittyGolightly · 01/05/2018 18:34

Why pants and pjs?

Free Your Foof!

bananafish81 · 01/05/2018 18:46

*Why pants and pjs?

Free Your Foof!*

Cos I don't want to change PJ bottoms every single day

I have never once had a yeast infection in my life. During 2 years of fertility treatment I was seeing a gynaecologist as often as several times a week, and apparently everything is A-ok down there (and he spent enough time down there!). Said foof was in tip top nick despite the supposedly cardinal sin of wearing knickers to bed!

DH sleeps with boxers under his PJ bottoms for the same reason. Can wear the bottoms a few days (clean top and socks and knickers daily, PJ bottoms every few days) cos you're not getting vag juice or sweaty arse all over them.

lizabes · 01/05/2018 18:48

Once every 2-3 days Blush
In my defence the cats and dogs sleep on the beds here and most of the kids do their own and dh and I take turns doing the rest.

daisym00n · 01/05/2018 18:50

Pretty sure I’ve changed it at least once in 2018

Ohfuckinghellwhatnow · 01/05/2018 19:26

Excellent :D

DSHathawayGivesMeFannyGallops · 01/05/2018 20:27

I spend a lot longer every day in my knickers than in my bedding and my sheets don't get as upclose as my gusset does. So I don't see the problem? I have 4 pillows on my bed and rotate which one I sleep on as I usually sleep alone and I am looking at getting extra bottom sheets as I think they see the most daily grime and are the easiest bit to change once a week.

Mufferdoodle · 01/05/2018 20:34

At least once a week, sometimes more. I’m not a clean freak I just love the feel of clean sheets!

HesterShaw · 01/05/2018 20:36

YABU.

LuluMarie · 01/05/2018 20:43

Every day. That's right, every day. On a day where I have less than fifteen minutes to sleep, maybe I'll wait until the day after, but shamefully!

Sheets, pillow cases, duvet cover, of course! I change them whilst I run a hot bath.

No reason other than it makes me feel fancy.

I don't iron them (or anything) because ironing is against my religion and I would spend the rest of time ironing my bedding alone, but clean fresh from the laundry after a hot bath, it takes minutes, I feel posh and in control of at least one thing in my chaos, bliss.

No comment on the parking malarky, but I'm happy to talk about clean sheets every day. I kinda do:)

JoeElliotsMullet · 01/05/2018 20:57

I don't have sheets, I sleep on a bed of petals that have been licked by unicorns.

IndieTara · 01/05/2018 21:00

2 or 3 times most weeks

LuluMarie · 01/05/2018 21:04

JoeElliotsMullet

Do you have a guest room and can I come live with you?

I'll change the petals every day.

PapaLazarousWife · 01/05/2018 22:45

It's not very environmentally friendly to do a hot wash and use the tumble dryer every single day though is it? Once a week is definitely enough. I aim for once a fortnight. Grin
