I change my sheets every week. My OH said his Mother changed hers about every four weeks. Just wondered how often MNs change theirs.

OP posts:
steff13 · 01/05/2018 04:40

Every week. I love to get into a bed with fresh sheets after a nice hot shower.

diodati · 01/05/2018 04:43

When they looked grubby.

Celticrose · 01/05/2018 06:50

My DM used to envy Jackie Onasis who apparently had not just clean but brand new sheets daily on her bed

RespoDad · 01/05/2018 06:55

I change them every time I have a visit from a laydeeeee so that’s usually 2 or 3 times a day.

sausagedogsmakechipolatas · 01/05/2018 06:58

Respo Grin

Weekly. On a Monday, so I have the benefit of lovely clean sheets before my husband comes home at the weekend and sweats all over them in his sleep. Seriously, he sweats through (his own) duvet - not his fault obviously but blech.

Betsy86 · 01/05/2018 07:17

I like to change the bed daily, i then sleep on the floor facing the bed so i can admire it in all its fresh glory.
Sometimes i cant resist and need to use a pillow, so the next night i will then sleep in the hallway as punishment to myself.

blueskypink · 01/05/2018 07:34

When I think they need changing which depends on things like -
how much they've been slept in (dcs are late teens/early 20s so are often away/ have partners over)
time of year (ie how sweaty people are)
how often the dogs have managed to get on/in a bed
if I fancy clean sheets
etc etc

Intrigued by people who do it on a regular basis regardless of other factors.

PerfectlySymmetricalButtocks · 01/05/2018 10:00

You mean once a year Respo? 😂

ShotsFired · 01/05/2018 10:11

You are all disgusting. Vile. Gross.

I change my sheets every minute on the minute, and I burn the old ones to save germs, then burn the new ones to avoid germs.

Then dress in a hazmat suit and sleep like Tom Cruise in MI to avoid any more germs.

To ask how often you change your sheets.
RespoDad · 01/05/2018 10:46

ALWAYS on my birthday, yes, PSbuttocks. And whenever I wear my birthday suit 😘😜😘😍😍😘😍😘😍😘👅👀

Dwellerfromunderthesink · 01/05/2018 11:00

Thanks to this thread I changed my sheets AND duvet cover yesterday. When the next thread starts about this, I will change them again. It’s sort of like an online diary reminder.

BMW6 · 01/05/2018 11:19

Twice a year, whether it needs it or not.

NutElla5x · 01/05/2018 11:23

As frequently as someone asks this question on MN
I would go see a doctor if my ocd was as bad as that!

SweetheartNeckline · 01/05/2018 11:28

We have a super king bed, it's a pain in the arse to launder the covers so probably every 3 weeks in winter and every fortnight in summer. We don't have a tumble drier which makes me less inclined too. Can't say I really think about it until there's a MN thread.

whiteonesugar · 01/05/2018 11:30

Every 2 weeks usually. We arent particulary sweaty and shower at night before bed. Change DS's more as he's just ditched the nighttime nappies, we are on the second sheet since Friday.

Mumto2two · 01/05/2018 12:21

At least once a week! Any less would feel yuk. There starts to emanate a certain mustiness from DH’s side of the bed..somewhere after about 3 days Confused

blackeyes72 · 01/05/2018 12:27

I just do them when I remember!

It's a nightmare to dry them all with 5 beds in the house, one of which is a super king.

I sleep with PJs and shower every night so it doesn't get too bad. Same with the kids. One of them tends to be sweatier so I probably do his about once a week and the others probably once every 3.

QueenOfMyWorld · 01/05/2018 12:30

Usually twice a week

Wildlingofthewest · 01/05/2018 12:30

Once a week at least, usually every few days during the summer. Nothing worse than sweaty smelling bedding!

Queenoftheblitz · 01/05/2018 12:40

A sweaty smelly bed makes the whole room smell. If I'm gonna spend one third of my life in bed, I'm gonna make sure it's clean and comfortable in the way I like it.

CarolsSecretCookieRecipe · 01/05/2018 12:40

Sheets - weekly. But sometimes I'll change the pillowcases more frequently.
Towels - twice weekly
Undies - daily
Bra - every second day

TartanDr3ams · 01/05/2018 12:40

Never. I refuse. Im 5ft1 and we have a kingsized bed.

DP does it somewhere between 1 and 3 weeks though... usually weekly, but were not gonna die when life gets in the way and it stays on longer...

Wildlingofthewest · 01/05/2018 13:06

What has being 5ft 1in got to do with it?!!!

Fluffyunicorns · 01/05/2018 13:11

Ideally once a week as love the feel of clean sheets but more likely once a fortnight. I am alone in my bed though so no fun and games taking place!

Kenworthington · 01/05/2018 13:15

Usually once a fortnight, more of anyone has been ill or sweaty!
