I change my sheets every week. My OH said his Mother changed hers about every four weeks. Just wondered how often MNs change theirs.

OP posts:
MrsRonBurgundy · 30/04/2018 19:01

FriendsDontLie yes definitely! If I don’t change pillowcases often enough I get a breakout. My face and hair are always clean when I get into bed but I do get fairly greasy skin so I think that’s why.
My mum and brothers the same, don’t think it’s too weird don’t worry

Tiddlywinks63 · 30/04/2018 19:01

Once a week without fail, dried on line of possible. I bath every night and wear pyjamas so they don't get grubby 😄

villageshop · 30/04/2018 19:05

Bottom sheet and pillowcase about every 3 or 4 days, duvet cover every 6/10 days, depending on the state of it / how sweaty we've been / the cat's muddy paws. Best is every second change when we get a whole bed of freshly laundered sheets. And always only 100% cotton.

We used to be a lot more slovenly though. When the DCs were young the state of our sheets was the last thing on my mind.

Baylis · 30/04/2018 19:07

Try to change them once a week, but probably averages out at every fortnight.

violet0805 · 30/04/2018 19:09

Once a week at least.

PatisserieDeBayeux · 30/04/2018 19:14

I used to do them once a week but now I don't. It varies. Longest has been about a month, but I did feel secretly ashamed. Soon got over it though.

Addictedtohavingbabies · 30/04/2018 19:14

About once a week, sometimes I go slightly over, sometimes under.

Bodicea · 30/04/2018 19:15

About once a month. Sometimes I do the bottom sheet and pillow cases in between. The kids more regularly. I just don’t have the energy for putting a duvet cover every week. We only have one set per bed and it’s so depressing going to bed and remembering you haven’t made the bed up. How do people find the time? I want to do fun things at the weekend not faff about with duvets!!! I always wear pjs and shower in the morning so I guess sweaty sheets aren’t as big an issue for me as some people.

PatisserieDeBayeux · 30/04/2018 19:16

Mil told me I do too much unnecessary washing. I think she's right.

Ansumpasty · 30/04/2018 19:16

I wash them about every fortnight, because I have a new washer dryer that doesn’t take all bloody day like my last. Before then, it was maybe once a month.
Before kids it was even less than that and growing up, I seriously remember my mum washing them about once a year, or when one of us were ill or spilled on them. Pretty gross but I remember that comforting smell of oily head stink from my mum’s pillow.

MrsFring · 30/04/2018 19:17

00100001 I absolutely love you!

sugarr · 30/04/2018 19:18

Once a week, normally every Sunday. Smile

ShatnersBassoon · 30/04/2018 19:20

Thrice nightly in summer. Once in winter, on Christmas Eve.

DeadButDelicious · 30/04/2018 19:21

Once a week. They get done on a Sunday ready for the week.

bellsbuss · 30/04/2018 19:22

Every week but more in hot weather

boymum9 · 30/04/2018 19:34

Twice a week... I love a clean smelling set of sheets!

Iseesheep · 30/04/2018 19:38

00100001

Nothing on MN has made me laugh more than this. Burn the house down!!! Grin

StripeyDeckchair · 30/04/2018 19:49

Weekly.

My desert island luxury would be fresh linen on the bed daily, I love getting in to bed when it the bed linen is fresh.

To ask how often you change your sheets.
LuckyLuckyWoman · 30/04/2018 20:24

once a week for definite, maybe sneak an extra change in if it's really hot weather

Follyfoot · 30/04/2018 20:25

Never...

But my husband does them once a week Grin

midnightmisssuki · 30/04/2018 20:26

For us fortnightly, for the children once a week.

WilburIsSomePig · 30/04/2018 20:27

I set my alarm for 2.30am so that I can do it twice a night. I also make DH get up at that time so that I can scrub him down with a wire brush and dettol before getting back into bed (atop some plastic sheeting obvs).

Anything less is fucking appalling to be honest.

HaudYerWheeshtBawbag · 30/04/2018 20:28

1-2 times per week, Ds2 every 2 day’s.

frasier · 30/04/2018 20:28

Every week and like you OP, DH said MIL does it every month.
