Would you judge?

NotUmbongoUnchained · 26/04/2018 16:26

Op has waited 10 years to see this film they say. Not sure the child's feelings matter.
Op, do what we do when there's a film you really want to see:Get childcare or wait for the dvd

How many times do I have to say this to you idiots?! I WATCHED IT WITH MY HUSBAND.

Go on OP Tell us will you take your child to see this amazing super hero film 😁 I am.

Funny, I don't think my child would ask to run infront of a bus.. However I would say no if I needed to and they would listen.. Suppose some kids are good like that!

PasstheStarmix · 26/04/2018 16:49

Will you take your dc to see the film op? Was it good? Dh is dying to see it tomorrow. I’ve heard there’s a lot of war in it and it’s maybe not the most appropriate but that only hear say.

PasstheStarmix · 26/04/2018 16:50

that’s *

NotUmbongoUnchained · 26/04/2018 16:50

I’m not going to take her to the cinema to watch it. But she can watch it at home.

Adayindisney67 · 26/04/2018 16:54

Ahh to avoid all these judges ^^
Good call 😉

NotUmbongoUnchained · 26/04/2018 16:56

No, I don’t care what people think of me. It’s worth noting their were actually a few young kids there today.
I know she will have some questions she will want to ask during so I think at home is better so she doesn’t have to wait to ask them.

Judge? No. But seriously it’s not suitable. I’ve changed my mind on taking our 6.5 year old. It’s brutal and quite upsetting IMO.

PasstheStarmix · 26/04/2018 16:58

I think in future OP it’s maybe best to avoid posting threads like this when your mind is already made up and as you say you don’t care what people think. Not really much point in asking if people will judge if you don’t care. I also think threads like his can attract strong opinions and do nothing of you were seeking validation.

PasstheStarmix · 26/04/2018 16:58

PasstheStarmix · 26/04/2018 17:01

NotUmbongoUnchained · 26/04/2018 17:03

I was just interested in just how many would judge, considering as i said, most of my friends children would watch it and there were a few kids there today watching it.
Clearly there are a lot of judgey people!

PasstheStarmix · 26/04/2018 17:06

I think women are the biggest judges of other women to be honest. Should just all stick together as parenting is tough enough!

Ohmydayslove · 26/04/2018 17:06

Gosh your poor dd. Poor judgment op poor judgment.

But don’t really know why you posted as you were always going to let her watch it anyway.

My bil and sil let all their kids watch violent films and they in turn let their own children do the same. The rest of the family can’t have ‘their grandchildren’ to play with the other grandchildren as they swear are very rough in play and mimic violent scenes. It’s truly horrible to watch. Their parents too felt they were fine watching these films and weren’t bothered by them.

MelanieSmooter · 26/04/2018 17:11

There was a child in the showing I attended this morning - looked around 7-9 years old. He was very distressed by the end.

I will let my younger DC watch at home where we can pause/talk through/discuss after.

heateallthebuns · 26/04/2018 17:16

Ooooo what was it like??? Who died??? No don't tell me.

NotUmbongoUnchained · 26/04/2018 17:17

No spoilers! But it was incredible. And I’m so sad I have to wait so long for the next one.

OP posts:
heateallthebuns · 26/04/2018 17:19

There's Deadpool 2 and venom to look forward to in the meantime.

NotUmbongoUnchained · 26/04/2018 17:21

The trailer for venom didn’t look that great but I will most likely watch it. Dead pool 2 looks amazing too can’t wait! Also ant man and the wasp.

OP posts:
heateallthebuns · 26/04/2018 17:33

I hate ant man, was he in infinity wars? I hope he died Grin

heateallthebuns · 26/04/2018 17:33

No, but it's got Tom hardy in so can't be all bad!!!

NotUmbongoUnchained · 26/04/2018 18:19

He’s not in infinity wars.
Tom hardy doesn’t do it for me sadly Sad

It has the same rating as star wars and took our 3 year old to that...but marvel does tend to be a little more violent I suppose

Nothing like any of there event start wars. Much more emotive and disturbing.

Lokisglowstickofdestiny · 26/04/2018 19:07

I don't think it's suitable for young children. The violence is fantastical but it's (without giving away the plot), got a real emotional punch and is darker than other MCU films.
