If someone has just had a bath and a family members wants to use the same water, but the person who has had the bath before (their water) doesn't want them to, but the family member who wants to use the water doesn't care it's dirty, do they still get to use it?

I also find the thought of getting into someone's used dirty scummy bath water quite revolting. If there are financial problems can you not both have showers?

Honestly if my husband or daughter asked me if they could use my dirty bath water I'd be a little weirded out by it, and tell them not to be dirty lazy bastards and to just run a fresh one.

Shudders.

" those of you saying it's gross never swam or been in a jacuzzi?!"

People don't shave in the pool do they?

Shedmicehugh1 · 17/04/2018 22:29

melamin probably towels or your brother touching a sore, then you.

My son had it, you have to have broken skin too, a tiny cut etc for the bacteriato get in. In young children often caused by a cut and the bacteria lives in your nose, so nose picking!!

AnnieAnoniMouser · 17/04/2018 22:29

Good grief have those of you saying it's gross never swam or been in a jacuzzi?!

Yes, but I’ll be fucked if I’m going to start putting the chemicals required to keep them hygenic(ish) into my bath water. It’s simply not comparable

Bluntness100 · 17/04/2018 22:31

Well I've never swam in my bath no, yours must be enormous and as a pp said I don't treat my bath with chlorine and other chemicals either.

You're bath time must be something to behold.

Wtf?! Swimming pools are full of chlorine, and people are supposed to (but arseholes don't) shower BEFORE getting in to minimise the grossness. But there will always be grossness, hence the chlorine. Completely irrelevant comparison.

Shedmicehugh1 · 17/04/2018 22:32

annie pages getting wet and wine diluted, perfectly good reasons to me, to have a bath!

Still not sure why a shower, after a bath is necessary. Each to their own I guess! Smile

BastardGoDarkly · 17/04/2018 22:34

Any further thoughts op? Hmm

Masterbuilders · 17/04/2018 22:36

Why on earth would anyone want seconds bath water. Let alone when a teenager has been in it. Hell no.

Celticlassie · 17/04/2018 22:38

People don't shave in the pool do they?

Apparently people dye their hair in changing room showers. Confused

Loonoon · 17/04/2018 22:59

If person 1 is paying for the water to be heated I would allow them this little idiosyncracy. If not I would suggest they make a donation towards the heating costs - maybe £1 a bath?

Jux · 17/04/2018 23:04

We all shared baths when I was a child, my brothers and I. Sometimes we'd all be in together, sometimes just one following another.

When I was in NZ as an adult, the water came from a drum in the garden which caught rain, so water was very precious. The children had the bath first, then I (as I was a guest), then the parents. One bathful of water did 5 people. You might find that revolting, but it was necessary.

It would bother me even if I hadn’t weed in it or anything else! I don’t know why, I guess it’s the thought of my skin cells floating around and my dirty water being re used... just gross.

Petitepamplemousse · 17/04/2018 23:12

Also, I always shower off after a bath. Who wants soapy residue left on skin?!

WaitroseCoffeeCostaCup · 17/04/2018 23:13

Maybe that's their way of saying they did a sneaky wee Grin

PoorYorick · 17/04/2018 23:13

If they have reasons then they should be prepared to explain.

Why?

TipTopTat · 17/04/2018 23:14

Well... that's a bit disgusting. But by all means share fecal matter and urea. Envy (not envy)

FloralMist · 17/04/2018 23:14

Me Ds3 dp all share bath water. But not if I wanna shave me minge Shock

WaitroseCoffeeCostaCup · 17/04/2018 23:14

Why does the person who feels uncomfortable with it have to justify it? Why is her discomfort with it not reason enough on its own?

bluerunningshoes · 17/04/2018 23:26

not showering/rinsing after a bath is vile. my skin starts to itch just thinking about that.

and not rinsing dishes is just...Envy sorry, I feel a bit green behind the gills.

if you need to save water, have a very shallow bath, soap, the rinse with a jug of clear water.

purplelila2 · 17/04/2018 23:28

Why on earth would they actually want to unless they had no choice. That's disgusting! Bathing in someone's filth!!!

HopScotchy · 17/04/2018 23:31

First world problems.
