Mumsnet is a force to be reckoned with and I’ve realised after reading a few threads today that I’ve bought a lot of things because of Mumsnet recommendations.

Aldi wine
Aldi pizzas
Matalan rug
Saltwater sandals
School uniform name tape
Essie nail polish
Pixi glow
Astral face cream
L’Oréal shampoo
Aveeno handcream
Aldi nappies
Switched to Coke Zero
3 x holidays for 8 people
2 x pushchairs
2 handbags
A scarf
Dozens of books
Kids coats
Dozens of Christmas gifts
Toys
Merlin pass
National trust pass
Event tickets
A sofa
Floor tiles
Bathroom suite
Dishwasher tablets
A fridge
A hoover
Method cleaning products
Light bulbs
Photo books
Photo calendars
Car insurance
Mortgage broker services
Audible

I’m sure there are loads more

Before most bigger purchases or trying a new brand I search Mumsnet. I start threads about things I want to buy, I read recommendations, I dip in and out of different sub forums.

What have you bought because of Mumsnet?

Mumsnet has introduced me to zoflora and Mooncups. Have also recently switched shopping to Aldi and am quite impressed so far

BuntyII · 15/04/2018 15:33

Ooh yes too many things to mention. I buy Aveeno Baby and HiPP organic after being selected for product tests. I bought Lidl nappies because they had the MN rated badge on them. Pretty much everything for my baby has been checked out on the site or with my MN ante natal group first.

Korg · 15/04/2018 15:35

Loads of things!

BonApp · 15/04/2018 15:37

Stuff from Lidl, Aldi
Clothes - nice stuff from M&S, stuff on style and beauty
Sheets from m&s

Shnoggi · 15/04/2018 15:43

DanceDisaster · 15/04/2018 15:44

Sooooo much! Too many things to list. I had to ban myself from the S&B pages for a bit as I was spending so much money Blush.

My most recent purchase based on a MN recommendation was a mascara by Collection.

GodYouMakeMeCringe · 15/04/2018 15:45

Aw, bless you. You fell for it.

MrsTerryPratchett · 15/04/2018 15:48

My DParents own a Lakeland dryer because of you vipers. Christmas sorted. Plus I didn't know who Boden were. And the aforementioned Hush skirt. I have worn it, to destruction. And S&B sorted my feet out.

Hey, advertisers. We [heart] MN.
