Before most bigger purchases or trying a new brand I search Mumsnet. I start threads about things I want to buy, I read recommendations, I dip in and out of different sub forums.

What have you bought because of Mumsnet?

Dunno if it counts as "bought", exactly, but last night we watched "Greg Davies - you magnificent beast" on Netflix because of all the MNers on another thread declaring that they'd climb him like a tree.

I can report that while I would not climb him like a tree, and wouldn't bother to go to a gig, I did mildly enjoy the show.

My DIL was so excited when she told me she had found a wonderful product for the bathroom and I just had to try it, wait for it, yep Zoflora. Made me smile being using it for decades on and off.

Someone tell me what is it with soap bars that got folk on here so excited?

I’ve also bought loads, and been influenced against purchasing stuff that may have been crap.

I too will boycott any company for life that pulls advertising from MN because of TRA.

Ah I never liked shower gel so have always used soap. I buy Pears, the trouble is OH and DS prefer soap so all the fancy shower gels we get as presents are never used. I did not know that you were cleaner using soap than shower gel though. You learn something new every day lol...

We moved recently after twenty years, it had a new kitchen with pan drawers and a pull out pantry. Wow what a revelation, life is so much easier, three wide drawers the top one holds all the cutlery comfortably the middle one all the ladles and things you use occasionally. The two wide drawers on the other side hold all my baking stuff. As for the pull out pantry cupboard, amazing, so easy to see things from both sides now.

What's the deal with Zoflora? I bought a bottle in the poundshop and can't see why it's raved about? do I need a specific one or are you doing something specific with it?!
Babylis big hair is definitely on my must buy list. Is there a specific one as I've seen two?
